Not sure if this has been mentioned - AudioThing sale:

I've experimented with the Outer Space plugin on desktop and it's pretty nice. Has many more options than the other iterations of the Roland Space Echo that I have (the IK Multimedia T-RackS 5 module and the plugin from Cherry Audio, which they call "Stardust 201").

Hope to see this one on iOS soon.

Nice sounding pre-amp for free. https://www.soundtoys.com/product/little-radiator/

It’s magic on a drum buss, although a gain plugin after it is important, it adds about 4-5db of gain. I have the full sound toys suite and like little radiator much more than radiator (which model different parts of the same preamp).

  • Hi All, I ended up with one pluginboutique code for a free (desktop) CA2600 synth, which I want to give away.

I don't have a video to promote :), but if you have ever interacted with me on this forum - commented on my thread, debated with me, replied to my comment, etc. - and you are interested in getting Cherry Audio's CA2600 for free, send me a PM. No strings attached. (The one thing we will have to see if the code is not tied to my PB account. It should not be.) First come, first served.

I already have a license, I hope someone else on the forum will be happy with one, too.

I assume you already had the CA2600 (which is excellent, by the way), so this is a nice gesture. I already had this software also, so I did not choose to download an additional copy.

It isn’t tied to your PB account, you just redeem the code at the cherry audio site. Very generous of you to give it away (I have it already, so not looking for a copy). Someone will enjoy it for sure!

@ervin now I dare to hand out medals. One for your brilliant idea 🏅

I need to go through my plugins, too. What about a thread for donating excess plugin licenses?

Yeah I had it from earlier. Then I bought a second hand Scaler on knobcloud, and it came with that (because Pluginboutique signed it over to me as the previous owner got it with their Scaler purchase). 🤷

Transferring a license, versus passing along one you’ve never used are different matters.

Transferring a license often involves paying the licensor a fee to facilitate the transaction.

  • I guess we might need a new desktop deals thread for 2023. In the meantime, Kushview's Element has gone free (from a one off payment per release / subscription model).

It's a really versatile plugin host (VST 2 and 3 and AUV2) that's brilliant for patching quick sessions for sketching ideas or live work. Very visual and intuitive but not a traditional DAW.
    Take a look here: https://kushview.net/element/

The dev has a Patreon so you can still make regular payments and accepts donations via the website.

I had high hopes in Element. It is a really cool plugin-host. Some months ago I added the feature request to support AUv3. It was supported by some users and the developer started working on it. He agreed that it won’t be too difficult to do since Element is using the Juce framework. He even claimed that it‘s working but me and other users who tried the nightly build couldn’t confirm since Element did not discover AUv3 that are installed system wide (by the AppStore). I don’t even have a clue where they are stored in the macOS filesystem. I think we were on a good way to make this feature work but then two months ago the developer stopped working on it. First I thought that he might have taken some time off but he did not come back. He kind of generally disappeared. No reactions to @ mentions, no new commits, no new builds, no changes on the website since two months. I’m afraid Element is abandoned.

I was one of those who supported the request for AUV3 support. I've been talking to Michael (the dev) over the past couple of days and he's confirmed that Element isn't dead - he's just had to devote more time to his day job and spend less time at the computer due to health concerns. He's also had to rethink the way he can continue to distribute and support Element. I think he's still committed and I'm happy to support him via Patreon. I guess time will tell if I'm right, but I tend to believe that Element will continue and evolve.

  • UVI has a desktop sale where you can get apps with up to 50% discount (if you buy three) - leading to the lowest price of Falcon etc. that I have seen: https://www.uvi.net/store

Pro tips to further increase your discount: if you buy on Audiodeluxe (https://www.audiodeluxe.com/) instead of uvi.net, you'll have about 55% discount for three items for some reason I could not figure out. Plus, if you want to buy multiple things anyway, like expansions, you can buy them in groups of threes, in which case you can use the bonus deluxebucks from the previous purchase to make the next purchase cheaper. Finally, if your UVI account is in euro, you can get a neat double arbitrage from the fact that you pay the price in USD on audiodeluxe, which is currently cheaper than paying in euro, and then get your falcon voucher in euro, which is worth more than getting it in USD. Long story short, if you get nerdy enough you can get a 60+% total discount on your stuff and get the falcon voucher to spend. Also watch out for an annual loyalty voucher in your account if you bought something earlier. Good luck :)

The catch: today is the last day of the sale. :#

Cymatics has a free pack roulette on Instagram. Go to their instagram page, find post, comment Lucky and they will dm you a random paid sample pack. Just got a $17 pack free.

I have no idea how Arturia pricing works so maybe this doesn't apply everywhere, but I just went to look at the new MiniFreak software synth, and I was able to get it in a bundle with V Collection 9 for $250, which is the best deal I've ever seen for V Collection. You can also buy MiniFreak standalone for $99, until February 2 I think.

Edit: Again, I really don't understand Arturia pricing so maybe I got this deal because I already had Analog Lab V or because I have a KSP or something? The standalone price for MiniFreak is supposed to be $99 right now but for me it shows up at $69. Go figure. Worth checking out anyway.

Basically, the more stuff you already have from them the cheaper new stuff gets. They are one of the best companies at treating their loyal customers well. Minifreak currently goes down as far as €49 standalone, maybe even more for some.

BTW, this is the image their website uses to illustrate that you need "no hardware" for this synth 😀

The software is incredibly close in emulating the hardware.
