absolutely, great buy
Thanks :-)
Does anybody want my free copy of analog lab intro? I already have the V collection so have no need for it. (as long as the codes aren’t tied to an email address!)
Does anyone have any experience with producerloops.com? Humble Bundle has a deal for 41 of their packs + 3 VSTs, currently at €22.40:

Cheers for catching this one…
Hmm that guitar line in the first video sample they have on the product page sounds very familiar. Intrigued as to what happens if you're done for copyright infringement due to a loop from a library originally infringing copyright. I feel that no one wins in such a situation apart from the lawyers
Looks a good deal.
That reminds me.
Just out of curiosity, does anybody know what PACE are going to do come OS 12:3 when .kext are fully deprecated?
I’ve dumped all my ilok protected apps since the last ilok created kernel panic almost destroyed my boot drive. (Eventually managed to boot into safe mode and removing the pace .kext brought everything back to life — with the pace .kext installed it came up as needing a full wipe and restore to continue!!).
Anybody know what they are going to replace the kernel extensions with?
TBH I think I will still steer clear, I’ve had grief with PACE ever since my first sequencer that had pace floppy protection. All my music tech mates used cubase Kracks on PCs whenever they wanted yet I had a legit copy of Vision and often couldn’t use it as it wouldn’t recognise the floppy. I’ve never forgiven PACE 🤣
God I hate the audio industry’s love affair with egregious copy protection.
The worst thing about getting a new mac is having to jump through all the hoops to get audio software installed and authorised. Some of the installers you have to use are soooo bad.
It was much easier when I ‘borrowed’ the odd bit of software. ;-)
Yeah, I’ve permanently sworn off use of all Eventide software on desktop due to an extremely unpleasant software installation and iLok security issue on their latest EQ plugin. I’ll never use them again.

Audio damage just shared a tweet that says they are redoing everything and making all legacy products free.

Here is the list of all free legacy products from Audio Damage

As for me, I'll wait until it's offered on the macOS App Store and fully authorized to run on macOS. Too many unverified developers around are posting links to potentially damaging/unsecure apps.
well... can we assume that ios versions of this plugins will not be developed anymore?
Not sure why you would think that? Any reason?
another great deal from PA
mastering bundle3 for $39.99 with the voucher MASTERING-3-3999
https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products/mastering-bundle-3.html
vertigo VSM-3
bx_dynEQ V2
bx_hybrid V2
bx_limiter
bx_meter
the 5 products in this bundle have a total value of $845
Great deal, Thanks
Are they still good / relevant ?
Some of them are 5+ years old…or am I wrong?
It's not a case that these aren't relevant because they’re old but some are better than others. Vertigo VSM-3 is ace (if a little difficult to learn), bx_limiter isn't the best, bx_meter is a meter, neither good nor bad, and both bx_dynEQ and bx_hybrid are worthwhile.
A little bit of history for you. Brainworx are Plugin Alliance and all of the other companies that partnered with Plugin Alliance did it in part because of the quality of those original bx_ plugins (in fact, it all started with a hardware digital EQ). The thing that Brainworx always excelled at was creating proudly digital fx that exhibit analog-like response. The mastering plugins from Brainworx unfortunately didn't live up to the hype.
Thank You for the history class @jonmoore 👍
I have always used pro mastering services for my material, but want to get a more efficient output without a big mastering budget. Have always avoided mastering plugs, but are now looking for the best tools to master some of my “friendly” stuff myself.
I would rather buy and learn 3-4 of the best plugs and keep using them, instead of 20 cheaper/on sale plugs.
I think I’ll pass this offer.
I have an eye on this one:
https://www.toneprojects.com/unisum-mastering-compressor.html
Seems like a next level plugin…
I like both of the current generation Tone Projects plugins (saturation and compressor) but I turn to the portfolio of Softube Wiess Plugins more than anything thing else when mastering; coupled with Maat's Orange and Red EQ's (also endorsed by Bob Katz). If you were to do a survey of mastering studios, Weiss and Algorithmix (the company that provided the original algorithms in the Maat EQ's), you'd find these names cropping up time and time again. I'm also a huge fan of the DMG range of plugins (the designer has a very strong heritage in both hardware and software).
New fashionable flavours come and go, but classics never go out of fashion (just ask Paul Smith!). I like the Unisum mastering compressor a lot, and it's very reasonably priced for what it offers but it very definitely pushes you in a smooth, transparent direction, and this isn't always what's required. But it's definitely one of the strongest of the new school offerings.

BTW, Maat also has an excellent tracking EQ in their lineup. Most of the time I turn to Fabfilter, but when I need something with a little more flavour I turm to thEQblue. I won't bother with my own description of what makes it great but here's a snippet of Maat's own blurb. "thEQblue is the most complete collection of classic equalizer Architectures ever assembled into one package. You get precise, idealized examples of legendary analog equalizer circuitry, complemented by progressive new models. Whether it’s vintage, modern, or experimental, thEQblue is a sonic sandbox for every mixing and mastering engineer to play in". There's 12 different models and you'll find your own favourites (the two parallel flavours are my favourites).
Getting back to the Plugin Alliance offer, the price is worth it for the Vertigo alone, although the Brainworx dynamic EQ manages to do dynamic EQ better than Fabfilter so that's also a very worthwhile tool to have in your virtual rack IMO.
