Oh that looks cool, ta gravitas 👍
Nord Lead 2 !
No worries.
Enjoy. 😁
Yes, it is surprising. Hopefully they'll test the waters soon and see if it's worth their while.
Poly 800!
I think they're referring to this, which is both universal and AU:

Whoa…that’s a Jupiter 8 emulation?! Now I gotta see some videos on it, as I’m not familiar with the developer apart from his TFX echo. I thought this was gonna be one of those generic synths that usually show up for a couple of bucks and sound like baked ass 😂 I was about to get Bleass Delay with the last bit of spending money I had but if it’s based on the Jupiter 8…..
To YouTube I go!
Edit
It sounds amazing…bought!
And only $5.99 right now. Quite a bargain.
It was worth it just for the Init sound alone! That and Mood are the only two virtual instruments I’ve run into where the default sound is good enough on its own!
Wow. I have the real thing and I use it as a controller.
Please tell me what I’m missing. I’ve hung onto it for so long.
Full transparency though, I don’t think I’ve ever created a patch from scratch.
My vote is for Korg ARP ODYSSEi.
Is Massive vintage yet?
Hey Ben! You’re not missing anything I’m sure! The Poly 800 was the first synth that seemed to be affordable and wasn’t a ridiculous amount for a bassist/guitarist to spend on their weaker instrument. I used it on lots of really naive, rubbish early 4 track demos and was never happy with the sound but with some programming and pedals I made it work for me. Eventually I sold it in favour of a controller keyboard. I just wish that I still had it for nostalgia reasons I guess. I have an emulator on the desktop and it brings back great memories of cheesy sounds that were never quite what I wanted them to be.
That would be fascinating!
Wow, I just checked out the stuff Cherry Audio created, just awesome.
Yeah, cool thing about Cherry Audio is that they are reasonably priced 🙏🏻 seems like a good match for iOS
I now have most of their offerings and find them absolutely invaluable.
@Jamie_Mallender. That pretty much describes my experience then and now.
It was affordable and after all it was the 80’s so had to add some synth bass to remain valid.
An Ondes Martenot would be great on an iPad as the touchscreen should make a good input method to emulate the ring.
I really would like Prophet 5…Dave Smith is/was one of my heroes
There’s a decent CS-80 patch in Mood…
I’ll throw an oddball out here: Gleeman Pentaphonic Clear
It would fun to see the transparent interface on iPadOS!
101
For me personally, nothing. Vintage synths dont do much for me and I have quite a few. Im more interested in software based hybrids from companies like Tracktion Audio or the bizarre instruments from Pure Magnetic, these are the winners for me. Your mileage may very,,,,,
An ARP-2500 emulation to see what we could do with Eliane Radigue’s wonderful synth of choice. I’m sure @Gavinski and other Radigue appreciators would jump at it too.
Oooh yes that would be good
Definitely! Although it is supposed to be a very hard synth to learn!
I want some quality versions of the SP1200 and Fairlight. The ones on the App Store have some pretty lackluster to bad reviews.
Maybe @Spidericemidas would make a preset bank to get us all started Or maybe the 80-20 rule would apply - we'd spend 80% of the time using 20% of the controls?
