    The singer in my band lived by the motto “it’s better to burn out than to fade away”.

    Fade away he did not.

    If you don’t like cheesy repetitive vocoder you’re better off skipping this one. And most of my other tracks too :-)

    I didn’t think I’d be sharing this (but I ended up thinking life’s too short to worry about inconsequential crap like whether or not somebody dislikes my stupid little tune) but I will get around to listening to everybody else’s proper songs in due course.

    Apologies for not having done so yet.

    nice electronic music! I think the vocoder fits nice in the track, its a bit mysterious, 80s feel to it. The composition feels interesting despite the repetitive melody in the background, I like it.

    Hi Guys.. Here's my contribution this month.. Its a Collab with a lovely lady from my neck of the woods (South London) when I lived in the UK.. Roxanne Bourne..... She has sessioned for various producers and artists throughout the years, including the likes of LOVE THIS RECORDS (Stock&Aitken), NJOI, and has played support to UK R&B star Lewis Taylor.
    Roxanne has had her own material featured on BBC Radio Unsigned Artists, and more recently entered the UK Soul Chart, featuring on the track 'Hold On'...
    The Track has already got some positive feedback.. From a House Music Mag.. ''Spirit of House''..

    Its out on Promo tomorrow.. Official Worldwide release May 6, 2022... On Veskler Records.. Enjoy guys.. ;)

    nice groove and feel! feels very laidback in some way, great vocals, I like the flutesolo around 4 min mark, good production!

    @DavidEnglish cool ambient chillout vibes. Great for winding down.

    @prtr_jan i don’t have Spotify ao don’t have the app installed and the website would only let me listen to 30 secs, but what I heard was good. Sorry I can’t offer more, I’d want to hear the full track for that :-)

    @martinsa82 I really like the sounds and production, it has a nice wide bright soundscape. Arrangement wise I’d have liked to have heard a different section of some kind of contrast to keep the ears from getting too comfortable…

    @kitusai I love the overall sound and the horns/brass keeps the interest up and before you can wonder what’s coming next it’s all over. Quirky and original in a good way.

    @Jmd8928 impressive and ambitious work! I’m not a metal head but liked much of what I heard. The arrangement keeps things interesting even though it’s obviously very long, things change before they get boring. Vocals and guitar are top notch.

    @studs1966 great production and well recorded. Cheating a bit as it sounds like a proper club record… it doesn’t have that amateur recorded at home sound that I aspire to at all! ;-)

  • @richardyot
    Love the guitar at the beginning. It has a comforting rock-and-roll feel. Really like the unexpected transition at the 2:40 mark. Shifts it into a higher gear.

    @prtr_jan
    In keeping with the title, this one has a nice open quality. Was already moving well along, when the vocals brought it up a notch or two. Overall, a compelling tune and first-class production.

    @martinsa82
    Solid song with a driving beat and spot-on instrument choices. Interesting melodic explorations within the overall structure of the song.

    @Jmd8928
    Epic in its scope and ambitions. The four sections work well with each having a distinct feel. The transitions serve well to link the sections into a diverse whole.

    @Kitusai
    Successful blending of disparate musical genres. Evolves in satisfying directions to explore the similarities and differences among the genres. Very cool!

    @klownshed
    Love the opening with the bell sounds. Nicely driven soundscapes with integral musical highlights. Mysterious, yet oddly familiar. Well done.

    @studs1966
    As with your previous songs, this one has great production values. Captivating vocals with a driving beat. Flawless execution.

  • @richardyot Excellent guitars, vocal choir chorus and aerian feel peopled by crows. A very good vintage that stays in your comfort zone with originality. The break at around 2'50" is excellent.

    @DavidEnglish Beautiful sounds for this ambient chill out music. Perfect for meditation under a starry sky.

    @prtr_jan Feeling very close to David's piece. Beautiful sounding.

    @martinsa82 A nice elastic funk rhythm. Very well done. I especially liked the haunting guitar riff.

    @jmd8928 Excellent metallic suite with a beautiful tribute to heavy guitars. Very intense. Great! The break at 3'45'' with the piano and the vocal are amazing.

    @klownshed The saturated sound is impressive. An intense and exciting track. Special mention for the bass line. Kraftwerk seriously updated? Excellent!

    @studs1966 Very professional dance floor music.

    My entry for the month, lyrics in the spoiler:

    The crows gather, one by one
    As dawn reveals a blood red sun
    A shadow spreads across the sky
    A crow pecks a corpse’s eye

    As the crows fly
    Silhouettes against the sky
    As the crows fly
    Fatefully

    Dark wings against the sky
    Dogs whimper, children cry
    A shadow spreads across the land
    A gun is clenched in a bleeding hand

    As the crows fly
    Silhouettes against the sky
    As the crows fly
    Fatefully

    We live out our lives
    Until the day when hell arrives
    We live out our lives
    Comfortably

    As usual: great song and production! It somehow sounds clearer/warmer/fuzzier to me than your previous entries, which I like (and in no way too much of that). I wonder whether you intended that (or if I’m maybe ‘just hearing things’). Making the drum a little more aggressive (harder/distorted/gated snare? harder kick) would make the song more engaging for my taste.

    This is an older music track that I improvised using Yamaha EX5 and Korg Triton Pro synthesizers. I used a Lexicon PCM 80 for the effects.

    It's titled Homeward Bound.

    I like the atmospheres you set (including the title).

    ok having some kind of flow I made two tracks during march, and three almost finnished.

    Here is one of the new ones:
    Bandcamp

    Spotify

    started the track on the ipad in Zenbeats, then its finnished in Bitwig studio (having a hard time deciding wich daw to use, i like Ableton alot to) both great daws with similar workflow, but each one of them having their own advantages that i like

    Has a classic funky vibe to it. I like how you seem to create a sense of space/spaciousness, not too much/too busy at one time. Stays a little in the same groove/a bit repetitive which can make you loose interest a little.

    This tune was recorded during the COVID lockdown.
    It is 4 songs with segues. The whole point of this project was an attempt at a story line, loose as it may be.
    Song 1: climate change causes wars for land leads into
    Song2: the war
    Song 3 the aftermath
    Song 4: the last person left on earth a pregnant woman dies by immolation.

    I know it’s weird. It was lockdown

    I admire your skill at playing your instruments and being able to finish such a work that keeps varying and telling a story. Its style brings you back to another musical era (and makes me wonder whether ‘bringing it a bit to today’ or adding elements from another style would make it more interesting for someone not specifically into that style).

  • I like how you always manage to set that eastern/circus/fair/a bit chaotic/mystery atmosphere.

    Always like hearing something that brings me back to some early EBM. Well done! (Make the snares hitting harder :))

    PS:

    That's better... it's good to hear the full tune. Very nice. It reminds me of Electribe 101 with the bassline and the vocal. Builds nicely, nice chilled out vice and there's a vocoder! You might have noticed I'm a bit partial to a bit of vocoding :-)
