  • Hell yeah, print it!

  • Hehe... I’m not even sure if I have Drambo related public videos :D
    Also I’m not a musician, just a nerd :)
But I can recommend each and every creator listed above!
    HBD D!

  • Great post! Love Drambo, happy birthday!

  • @Gravitas thanks mate, I’ve got some Drambo tracks as well:

  • edited April 2022

    Nice! The MEGA @Gravitas playlist!

I haven’t been giving Drambo the attention it deserves lately. Been wrapped up in Loopy Pro (though I DO have a project where I’m using a Drambo AU in LP!) Maybe once the update comes out that’ll change.

  • edited April 2022

Drambo is so fun. Just had a great jam. Something amazing is coming. 🤩

  • @bcrichards added “and dRambo tracks” to the comment. ;)

@Edward_Alexander I have it the other way around, I use Loopy Pro as auv3 in dRambo.
Looking forward to hearing your new stuff.

These are highly inventive! It looks like 30 videos; but I’ve only made through the first 3rd. I really like the ( I don’t know what to call it ) baroque minimalism maybe? I like the ones with sampled instruments; but also the unpredictable meters; funny modulations, etc.
I don’t know dRambo at all; this piques my interest - but on the other hand, I’m guessing you’d get equally inventive results using any apps whatever you do.

True, you could get similar results using other apps.
What is good about dRambo is that it’s versatile and that you can design
your own effects and synths which is a different challenge altogether.

  • @Gravitas oooo, inspiration!

  • @sigma79
    In case you missed it.
Here's links to stuff you can do with dRambo.

    Enjoy,

  • I was so late to the Drambo train and I wish I wouldn’t have been. Even now I haven’t dove in as much as I should.

That said, this is really a killer app. One of those rare ones that justifies the price of an iPad alone. Imo, it can easily compete with any of the hardware equivalents out right now.

  • It’s definitely an infinite source of inspiration and fiddling for me, I wish I was better at making complex things way to use in it…

If you haven’t yet seen, some inspired genius has put an attempted recreation of a buchla easel up on patchstorage in the last couple of days; takes a fair amount if fiddling to get going, but it’s definitely worth a look…

    You're not to late.
    We're just getting started.

    Agreed.
In a recent video I showed @seonnthaproducer how to build a basic Moog Voyager.
Moog Voyager's can come in at around £4500 2nd hand.

    Here's the vid.

Yeah, I saw that as well.
I haven't had chance yet to delve into that one because I've just put together
another 32 step input sequencer which is much lighter on the iPad than my first one.
This version is turning into quite a performance tool with the new 'Clips'.
Took it for a spin last night over Sonobus.
    It was fun.

Yeah, devoting an iPad to just Drambo is exactly what I'm thinking. It covers so much and more than hardware.

You and me both, haha 😂. I dabbled in the app but didn’t have as much time to invest in it. Thankful I had @thesoundtestroom longform tutorial and @Gravitas to teach me the ropes on the app.

@Gravitas Thanks again for the meetup. Learned a lot of new things about Drambo, Mobile music production, and lots more.

@auxmux Honestly, I get that. Seeing a few of the different ways Drambo can be used is opening a lot more possibilities than I thought.

    No worries.
We've got to do it again, you do know that. 😏

Currently dRambo on my idevice is doing visuals, sound synthesis,
effects and live looping courtesy of Loopy Pro.

    It's awesome.

Awesome! Can’t wait to dive into that. I love every Moog synth I’ve owned/played, might try and replicate that myself :)

Not a bad idea at all! I’m wanting to dive deep into that and SunVox. You can get so much mileage from just those 2.

    It's really fun to do.
I've been making snares, kicks, hihats as well
as melodic sounding stuff using the "Voyager", as I call it.
We didn't have even time to get really elaborate
so we're going to have to wait until next time. :)
