I was so late to the Drambo train and I wish I wouldn’t have been. Even now I haven’t dove in as much as I should.

    You're not to late.
    We're just getting started.

One of those rare ones that justifies the price of an iPad alone.

    Agreed.
In a recent video I showed @seonnthaproducer how to build a basic Moog Voyager.
Moog Voyager's can come in at around £4500 2nd hand.

    Here's the vid.

If you haven’t yet seen, some inspired genius has put an attempted recreation of a buchla easel up on patchstorage in the last couple of days; takes a fair amount if fiddling to get going, but it’s definitely worth a look…

Yeah, I saw that as well.
I haven't had chance yet to delve into that one because I've just put together
another 32 step input sequencer which is much lighter on the iPad than my first one.
This version is turning into quite a performance tool with the new 'Clips'.
Took it for a spin last night over Sonobus.
    It was fun.

Awesome! Can’t wait to dive into that. I love every Moog synth I’ve owned/played, might try and replicate that myself :)

    It's really fun to do.
I've been making snares, kicks, hihats as well
as melodic sounding stuff using the "Voyager", as I call it.
We didn't have even time to get really elaborate
so we're going to have to wait until next time. :)

I’ve been MAJORLY digging into drum synthesis with Drambo, it’s really really really fun to play around with and make some samples, record them into Koala and export them from there. I’ve built so many percussion randomizers over the past few weeks, everything from blips and bloops to kicks and snares to some more unique perc sounds. And it’s been soo easy to record and export 64 different percussion samples in minutes thanks to using Koala and midi gate controlled random modules.

It’s been a blast but I’m kinda bummed you can’t modulate every parameter. I’ve found workarounds but they aren’t perfect. Altho from seeing some screenshots and such from the upcoming update, it looks like that is going to be changing pretty soon? Maybe I’m misinterpreting some of the things I’ve seen but I an still so pumped for the future of Drambo as it continues to grow and as I continue to learn!

  • Well, I got thru to Origami, which was very good, indeed… but then I saw the video of you and @seonnthaproducer. Now that was fun to see you two together. Lol, I could not follow the Drambomania but it looks incredibly versatile and powerful. If it had a thousand presets I’d go for it.
Also, totally unaware of @rs20000 s secret (at least for me) life. Well done stuff.

I’ll continue listening to these great and super well produced tracks. Love the plethora.

I think you're going to more than like what's coming.

You made it through to Origami?
    Cool.
    Thank you.

    Yeah, he's a good guy.
    I really like his vibe.

He's been my most ardent supporter in learning dRambo.
    He's very cool.

    Once again thank you.
    Much appreciated.

  • Listening more… enjoyed Grace, Looking ahead and Faster Than Light. Videos very good, too. I always use when you use virtual instruments with synths. I’m doing that a lot now.

I really enjoyed creating those three.

    Thank you.
I love putting together visuals as well.
    It's the painter in me.

Mixing the tones of virtual instruments with synthesis is so much fun.
The textures can be phenomenal sounding. :)
