Re: Sample copy
We currently have workflows to AudioCopy sequences and songs. You might try using the copy feature in the sample editor. Does that work?
Re: Pops and clicks on sample end.
I'll take a look here. Have you tried adding a little fade out at the end?
Re: Numbered semitones.
This is a good suggestion. I'll bring it up here.
Re: Zoom level
If a sample is very long we don't currently zoom into the sample level. For most of our use cases, this wasn't a problem. I agree we could improve this.
Re: Time stretching
I'd like to see this too. I'm looking into the possibility.
Re: Crashes
Are you able to send your crash logs to me? [email protected].
What kind of iPad do you have?
Wow pretty amazing to see this sort of responsiveness from Retronyms on this forum. High five @DanWalton
@WilliePapers
Thanks for the feedback. iOS Music users are a passionate bunch. I think user requests and complaints can only improve our products. At the same time, cramming every possible feature into a product doesn't always make it fun to use or productive. We are trying to balance all this and make tools that generate the most possible music in the most enjoyable way.
@Buska
I'm sorry to say that there is a bug that doesn't load the trim end correctly. ;( We have fixed it and are trying to submit a new build to Apple.
@ChrisG
Yes, we could use a database here to track all the samples. Might improve searching. I hope we can improve this. A few thousand samples starts to be a little challenge.
@AudioJunkie
Gottcha. We have to improve node support!
@DarbyA
Thanks! We try to be responsive on Twitter, Reddit/r/ipadmusic, SoundCloud, Facebook etc. Audiob.us doesn't notify me when people are talking about our products. Perhaps we need to set a google alert!
@DanWalton got it! Thanks again
@DanWalton I like very much the MPC Element implementation, enjoy it now...only one thing: do you think is possible to have a visual feedback on pads for other functions like pads bank selection (maybe in green with 50% for save ipad power) and pad mute etc.??
Thanks for your good job
Edit: I Speaking about The hardware side, on software is ok, green light on MPC Element...
@ArcaneScreams Yes I'll be around!
NP, @skoptic & @thinds
@Audiojunkie there is no Midi out support yet. However, we are aware that it is currently sending the same notes out as it takes in. (Network midi and out to hardware)
@DanWalton
Thanks so much for the answers Dan. Much appreciated.
Re : Sample Copy
Yes, I know I can audiocopy/audiopaste when edit an existing sound... But i don't get how i import a sample in impc pro from scratch. when no samples are loaded it is not possible to 'edit sound' when there is no sample and there is no audiopaste option in 'get new sound'... Is there something I'm missing or something really basic is missing ?
Re: Pops and clicks on sample end.
Yes I tried playing with the enveloppe and the pops are still there. You kinda hear them even more as the volume go down before the pop... If you can find a solution for this issue it would be awesome. It is not as critical as the 'end trim marker' not saved in chop mode (this is highly critical as I lost all the work I made on my 2 first songs because when reloading them all the samples are messed up, I wait for the fix before reusing the app now) but it is still a major flaw for me...
Re: Numbered semitones.
Thank man... Actually, I wonder how you use the tuning editor in the timeline right now, just with the little metter line ???
Re: Zoom level
Yes please try to give the option to zoom a lot so that editing may be precise.
Re: Time stretching
Yes we all agree... Necessary, almost as much as JJOS ^^
Re: Crashes
For this, I don't know how to get crashes report... For example, when in cloudseeder if I click on 'done' to go back to the software it often send me back to iOS main page and if I try to reselect impc pro, then it reboot and all changes not saved are lost...
I have an iPad Air 32Gb with latest iOS update and no jailbreak.
Thanks again for your support... It is much appreciated.
Peace.
@water_horse_3G Hi. Nice to meet you. Thanks for being here. I have a question for you, if you don't mind. Is there any other Midi in functionality going on, on any other channels? When I was experimenting, I was using an app called midiSequencer. mS was controlling iMPC Pro. I noticed that the Inter-App Effect on the Mixer page was moving. I have been trying to reproduce this, but I don't know if it was a Midi control, or if that movement was part of a saved sequence. Any midi help will be most appreciated.

Another good source of MPC related info. regarding workflows, troubleshooting, suggestions, etc. is the MPC Forums: http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewforum.php?f=43
They have MPC hardware, MPC Ren/Studio, iMPC and even tablet Apps. forums

Jump to zero crossing would be really handy. And on that fade note, hoping you guys are collecting analytics on most used editing functions. For me, it's fade out and normalize and they're both on the second page of the edit bubble. If I'm not alone, it would be great to see those on the first screen of functions.
Pretty pretty pretty please! Main use case for me is if I want to make a 4 note melody out of the same sample across four pads, it's 100% guess work at the moment.
One for the backlog? In the sample editor, two finger tap on one of the buttons to play through the loop end and start. That is, start playback at 90% through the selection and continue through the end to 10% after the start so that you can check your loop points.

In Program view, tap on 'Sounds' in the lower right. Then, on the left, tap 'AudioPaste'.
@DanWalton Thanks I have cast my vote....Timestretching is in the lead
I have a question....
When I commit my loop points and chop to pads, is there a way to get back to the point where all slices are showing?
Currently I can only figure out how to edit one pad at a time once I commit and chop to pads......it would be great to have an option to see all slice points or at least skip from pad to pad whilst in the edit pad mode.....is it possible ?
Ok for sampling with impc pro with my audio interface behringer is 202 i use audiobus.
I record audio input in audiobus and output with audioshare with impc pro loaded and it works great.
I CAN sample my vinyls !!! Great but i Will prefer to use only impc pro for do that but i hope retronyms Will work for an update in the future.
But its only mono ... Always mono ...
Tabletop update for iMPC Pro now.....1.06 GB???
Oh cool, can't wait to play with this inside Tabletop.
Now with iMPC Pro Tabletop have one IAA Effect slot :-)

I got my LPD8 working. You need to make sure the preset in the editor is on midi channel 10. If you use it in tabeltop however you can just midi learn. Hope that helps.
It appears you can't load user made program's once in Tabletop, mine are not showing anyone else?
@Jumpercollins seen that too, I think you need to create and save new ones inside Tabletop.
@jumpercollins & @Trueyorky It's difficult on iOS to make apps share presets in iOS. I'm hoping this will all change sometime after iOS 8.
@Sinapsya said:
Hoping they add a dedicated device inside TT for IAA Effect and enable the FX on classic impc....(generally speaking update the impc classic for all IAA modes)
So, does impc pro has all the features in Tabletop , or is it a "light" version like they did on impc classic?
Yes it looks like it not sure if the old iMPC worked the same way.
Thanks Dan for the quick reply, yes hoping iOS 8 going to bring many changes for the good.
Has anyone tried hardware midi learn yet with iMPC pro inside tabletop ? Did it work with your selected hardware?
I'm not seeing any blue highlighting around the pads on mine!
OMG THANK YOU! The new update fixed the problems I was having with tabletop! THANK YOUUU! One more question for anyone that can respond - - When I open up the Impc Pro & Tabletop Apps in Itunes to delete files, only a folder saying "ImpcPro" Appears, but there is no way i can open it or delete anything from it. Help anyone?..
Other than that , everything works perfect for me!
@Jumpercollins I think if you Audiocopy in iMPC Pro and Audiopaste in Tabletop you import Programs too....I try now...
No we can't...I hope @DanWalton in next update add the ability to Audiocopy Programs too...
@DanWalton said:
Possible to extend AudioCopy to include iMPC Pro bundles (sequence, programs, samples...)? I think intents on iOS8 will be the path to salvation for this too but there will probably need to be a bundled format anyway.
