Pro version seems to be fully universal too (M1 & Intel Macs, iPhone and iPad).
Last time I tried this some years ago, I wasn't able to coax it into anything musical but it was probably just me not knowing how to work it. I'm curious to get feedback on what you are up to with this new version.

on how to use midi (so make it more musical) and map midi controller in VOSIS:
"Yes, just connect a midi keyboard before starting VOSIS. If on iPad, make sure the keyboard has power (some small USB keyboards need bus power so you need a hub or power adapter). The keys will play the regions in the order you last touched/clicked them - but at the tuning of the keys. To map cc on iPad touch and hold a slider (without changing its value) for 1 second and release - you'll see popup to midi map. On Mac just right click any slider and select map midi cc. The slider will turn pink and the next cc knob you move will map to the slider. So it works like Ableton. I will post a full user manual in the coming days."

Really clever - just about making sense of it without a manual. Great that it's for Intel Macs too but as always would be nice with a bit of connectivity...😊

Hey guys - sorry about the crashing - it runs fine in the iPhone 6s simulator. As far as hardware all I have is an iPhone 12 mini, a new iPad Air, and an original iPad Pro. I'll see what I can find in the logs on Apple's developer site. Going to release an update to VOSIS Pro with Audiobus and IAA support in next couple of days.

Are there any big differences in the synth engine between the pro and free version? I’ve had the free version for ages and I’m considering the pro just to have endless recording, but I’m curious what the difference in the synth engine are outside of the filters?
Anyone able to use this IAA with AUM or apeMatrix? Can’t get it to load in either.
I've got to load it up as IAA in AUM, but no MIDI connection 🤷🏻♂️
I think it is Core midi only, meaning it only sees external controllers.
You have to have your controller connected before you launch the app.
It shows up in both AUM and ApeMatrix but it doesn’t load for me. Tried on 2 different iPads
Anyone still using this? Checked out the free version. Beautifully designed app, in many ways, both in its UI and the overall concept and features, but I wonder if the sound gets a bit too samey after a while? Background mode does not seem to be an option in standalone (IAA is only available in the free version). Does it have an option to work in background mode in standalone in the Pro version?
Not sure if it has background audio (I don’t think so though. I couldn’t find the option) but you can screen record and record within the app for as long as you want. It can get a bit samey but not so much that it’s not worth the price, imo. I really enjoy it every time I use it. Glad I upgraded. You can a lot more sound manipulation options and can have more than 3 zones at once.
More than 3 zones at once is cool. It's really lovely to use in stereo and move the zones around. Does work OK as an Iaa in AUM for you? Saw some people complaining about loading issues above, cheers!
Yep you can have 5 running at once and still use the touch. It also adds more image control, filters, playing options, etc.
I haven’t had any issues in AUM at this far. I think I did around when the first new update came out but it’s worked fine for me since then. That said, half the time I’m in standalone to make some sample fodder or just have fun.
Nice! It's a real pity they just don't have an immediate convert image to black and white function when importing images, that would be super useful I think.
Maybe it’s a pro only feature but when I upload an I image it’s immediately in black and white. Or am I misunderstanding?
