Thank you!
Sure thing! Hope you enjoy it 👍🏻
I am glad I upgraded. The dev’s website has the full list of extra features in Pro vs the free version. You get a LOT extra:
VOSIS Pro
Audiobus and Inter-App Audio Support
Save and Load Presets
MIDI Keyboard Support and CC Mapping saved to Presets
Load Video files with adjustable playback speed (iPad and Desktop only)
Unlimited recording length (free version limits to 10 seconds) and screen mirroring
Step and Random sequence modes for rhythm
Additional Filters: Blur, Sharpen, Downsample, Brightness
Tremolo: tempo synched and continuous
Native MacOS desktop support (single purchase includes iPad, iPhone, and Desktop versions)
Thank you! I'm glad I upgraded. A couple thing I fantasize about it having is the ability to record touch movements, like moving and resizing the boxes and loading High Efficiency format images. But, just being able to import videos is almost worth the upgrade! I love the variety of buzzy/industrial sound it's capable of.
I came across this thread, and grabbed Vosis Pro -- something I was surprised to have overlooked before.
So far, it seems cool. Potentially overly samey, but not necessarily.
I have noticed a couple of things, possibly mentioned above, and I wonder if they are familiar to other users.\
In a DAW, apeMatrix and AUM, the loaded image doesn't show up as background, which remains dark. Normal?
Also, the tremelo rate button is not functioning whether standalone or otherwise.
(Also, kinda crashy)
Are the above phenomena previously mentioned/addressed?
The app can tend to be a bit crashy at times but the dev does seem to be actively working on that.
I’ll try to replicate the other issues. Does the background image work if you load your own?
Actually, I thought I updated my post, but for some reason, the update doesn't appear.
The image and tremolo problems were just peculiarities of the app I hadn't figured out. I messed with the settings a bit, and problems solved.
looking forward to playing with this a bit. I do hope the stability is improved....
Thanks for responding @HotStrange!
Yeah sure thing! It’s been a favorite of mine for many years now. Did you get the Pro version? Looking forward to hear what you think about it.
Nice! The free version is super functional!
It's another one of those apps were the free version is probably a bit too generous imo. Paid version is definitely worth it for those who like experimental stuff. This is a super cool app. People who only buy or use auv3s are missing out on a lot of good stuff!
Does this App generate MIDI output?
No
Screen rec>>>auv3 🤣
Gotta get the paid version for that too lol. The free version will cut your screen recording off after like 10 seconds and has a watermark
Agreed and agreed. If I made a top 10 apps list, at least a couple wouldn’t even be AUV3. Vosis Pro is fantastic.
.
Would be curious whether anyone else has the problem in the latest version that a region opened at the top of the UI will not close, but has to be dragged lower down in the screen in order to close it
Maybe someone with Pro could also confirm that background mode is not working properly when playing video. The app seems to go into a loop when you switch it out of foreground, then when you switch it back to foreground again, it begins working normally again
I’m away from home now (at work) but will give it a test run when I get back.
I've read through this and see some people talk about having IAA issues....mines not even showing in aum, let alone loading. I do only have the free version so does it work in the pro version? is that one of the differences? liking what I'm hearing but don't want to upgrade if i cant use in aum
anyone help me?
Hey, the website https://vosis.app/ mentions the Pro version features, and it seems that yes, being able to load as an IAA is a pro feature so that would explain why you can't load it in AUM. I have Pro and have no problems loading it in AUM.
This is the full list of Pro features:
Audiobus and Inter-App Audio Support
Save and Load Presets
MIDI Keyboard Support and CC Mapping saved to Presets
Load Video files with adjustable playback speed (iPad and Desktop only)
Unlimited recording length (free version limits to 10 seconds) and screen mirroring
Step and Random sequence modes for rhythm
Additional Filters: Blur, Sharpen, Downsample, Brightness
Tremolo: tempo synched and continuous
Native MacOS desktop support (single purchase includes iPad, iPhone, and Desktop versions)
Remember btw that IAA apps are sometimes a bit funny when loading. If u remember correctly, Vosis Pro loads no problem in AUM, but for any IAA apps that have problems loading, the solution is usually to open it standalone before trying to load the IAA. Like I say, I don't think this is necessary for Vosis, but I'm mentioning it just in case you get the Pro version and still have some issue loading in AUM. If you do, the thing I just mentioned would be the reason and it is easily fixed.
cool...thanks for clarifying! I'll probably go ahead and upgrade then!
