The design looks amazing in my opinion but for $1200 and 48khz? I’ll pass
I’m just absolutely floored at that price, I could add an entire rack to my euro with an exponential amount of more functions for that money
Just for clarity it’s not plastic it anodised aluminium.
Crack-smoking confirmed
I love the size and concept, but yeah the price is a bit steep ... I've thought for a while that a small interface like this would be a great companion for iOS music making, I just wish they went for more of an OP-Z style build and price point.
My mistake. That does make a bit of difference, to be honest. I guess I'm not aware of the use-case for such a thing. It's like their bluetooth speaker that samples as it plays. It's an awesome party trick, but I'm not sure what purpose it serves. I expect its value will emerge over time. But that price will remain breathtaking.
I agree about the price, I sort of see them as the Leica of the audio/Design world, beautiful and expensive but to be honest you can probably get similar results with something less pretty but much cheaper.
If they deliver on the ‘pro’ promise the price is high but I’m sure many will pay. But I can’t wrap my head around who really benefits from the ergonomics to size tradeoff. Feels like a design school dare more than a well designed tool.
I'm sure like most of their stuff this will be misunderstood but high quality and almost worth the price.
That's exactly the market they are going for with some of their devices. You're paying for their design, and people who like that sort of thing don't mind paying for it. It's not meant to appeal to everyone.
I worry about quality. The OP-1 and OP-Z both buzz when you use USB and audio connections together. And 3.5mm jacks always break.
I still want one though.
I mean:
VMIX-10
€145.00
2 stereo input channels with stereo minijack sockets for each
click-free mute buttons per channels
per channel: level, pan and two FX-send knobs
2 FX send-return sections (send mono, return stereo)
master level control
stereo headphone output with separate level control
four 9V power supply outputs for Volca boxes or other devices
The case size is identical with the Volca series, so the VMIX-10 should fit exactly in the Volca stands that are available from different suppliers.
It includes a power supply adapter with snap-on plugs for EU, UK and US (AU on request).
For connecting gear with 1/4" jack sockets, we offer adapters; see here:
Adapter mono minijack plug to 1/4" socket
Adapter stereo minijack plug to 2x 1/4" socket

Pricey but this is real innovation - if you want an extremely portable setup there aren’t options at this quality and size that I’ve found without sacrificing multi channel or requiring a plug. This is leaps beyond Roland’s
And 26% means a lot of cash for them already 😁
@Lady_App_titude
Brilliant! And the logo
@wahnfrieden
That's true. They've crammed about everything imaginable into this tiny box.
Snobs would buy this as a MIDI control surface to put next to the iPhone.
It's 'bespoke' At least it doesn't have the flimsy micro USB jack.
Anyone know if the 1010 Bluebox can function as an audio interface? I remember folks were asking for that when it was announced.
If it cost 50 bucks, that would be pretty useful.

It doesn't. I'd totally want that if it did. Would be perfect with AUM.
Where’s Behringer when you really need them?😜
From an ergonomics perspective, if this thing were twice the size i could justify the price tag. But at its current size it just feels stupid to buy it. It’s like that old MadTV micro iPhone skit.
Perception is everything when it comes to what to waste your cash on. 😜
If they would have made it half the width on an OP-1 they would sell truck loads of these.
Thanks. That's too bad. Wishfull thinking, but maybe TE's new TX6 incentivizes 1010 to add the audio interface to their Bluebox.
That's my hope too. We should email them about it to convince them hehe.
TE have filled a gap here, no question.
it's also synth :-)
Price is horrible anyway.
I mean it’s obvious you mostly pay for the design here. If you can afford it, that’s fine though. I own stuff purely for the design, like an expensive watch.
Fashion mobile audio equipment also is kind of a good thing, it means there is money in the market.
Oooh. I wonder if they’ll make a wrist band attachment accessory for this TX6. You could then where it on your wrist while mixing.
I actually though it could be a cool adjunct to the IPAD to finally get hands on with AUM (since automation for it seems a forlorn hope), loving the drone mode, etc. Then I saw the price…
It’s more of a replacement for AUM. If you want something small to go with AUM the Korg Nano line is a good option.
Is that an NFC chip implanted in the presenter's hand? (between the thumb and index finger).
