Could you also please pass the info to the devs that switching the Quantization/grid to"off" doesn't switch it off at all? ;-)

I give you a daily use example:controlling external (or Audiobus) Synths/Gear via Midi.Recording this stuff to an audiotrack always adds a little latency (therefore the recorded file starts with a delay) and most often it's not possible to cut the"silence"in the beginning of such audiofile properly because there is still some quantization going on.Thanks!

+10000 Crabman, this is what makes Cubasis almost unusable to me while I love this app (+ paid 50 bucks to have something that should have this king of basic functionalities).

  • @MusicInclusive, @GuillermoNavarrete, I tried the IAA effects with a short guitar piece and turnado in the insert slot, and mixed down with "include effects tail" off and I still heard the turnado effect, BUT! It added blank space after it. What I noticed during mix down was the play button lit up for the duration of the song but then would turn off and the mixdown bar would keep going, and very slowly once the play light turns off. ???

  • Here's a screen shot of it in audioshare.

Yes, but does it happens without a IAA effect, could you please write down a step by step guide how to reproduce this?

    Best regards,
    GN

  • @GuillermoNavarette, I just tested it without IAA and yes it does happen, in this case it happened with effects tail on but not with effects tail turned off.
Open AB, open tonestack in input slot, open cubasis in output. Activate tonestack, activate cubasis, arm track, record 1 min guitar, set loop markers, mixdown m4a, between the markers turn on effects tail, hit start. Open in Audioshare 1 min song now 3 min.

Great stuff thank you again, just forwarded it to the devs.

  • Thank you GN! It seems somewhat random now, I went back and re mixed down a song where I had space at the end and turned off IAA in the output and then did both with and without effects tail and it didn't add space either way.

    Hello Bootsy,

As a workaround you could set-up your locators and then freeze the track.
Then it shouldn't add the extra minutes.

EDITED: We have also noticed that this happens every time the iAA mic input is active or the track monitoring is activated too.

    Best regards,
    GN

  • @GuillermoNavarrete, here's what happens when I freeze the tracks. Does this look normal? To me it looks like it's doing exactly what it does when I mixdown, adding a bunch empty space at the end of the tracks.

  • It did mixdown fine, with no added space.
