Actually, what I would like to see is a car that automatically starts as soon as I get in, and if I don't want it to start I just have to insert and turn the key.

Also, it would be great to have a toilet that flushes one minute after I set down so I don't have to press the button. If I am not ready to get up I could just remove the top of the cistern and reset the timer.

Also, has anyone ever thought of a washing mashing that switches on as soon as it detects my clothes being thrown in? That would be great. And a microwave that starts as soon as I put my food in, if I don't want it to start straight away I just close the door.

Hey, how cool would it be if my dog comes to me without being called, but if I don't want to trouble him I just call out his name. Is there any training for that?

...so we humans better don't change anything for convince sake again :#

Well convenience has its limits. I mean it's convenient not to bend over all the time but I'm hardly going to start storing everything above waste height.

I also made it a habit to always hold down cmd when opening links on Mac. But on iPad it always takes a while until the menu opens where you can choose open in new tab. I find that quite inconvenient. And as I said there are time where you forget that and feel bothered that the forum is gone. But oh well.....

I think… don’t hold me to this, but I think You can set the response time in settings for holding down something. I have it set to default, but you can change it to quick or slow. Poke around in device settings .

Actually I just checked. Go into settings, then accessibility, then Haptic Touch. Mine is set to fast so it doesn’t take long at all to pop up.

On an iPad, just tap the link with two fingers, not one. That’ll open it in a new tab.

Just quoting this again, since it may have been missed: there's no need to long press and go through the popup menu. It also works in iPhone.

  • I’d recommend anyone using Safari on iOS to use “Stop the Madness”, a plugin for safari. You canhave it open links to external websites in a new tab, stop auto playing videos/audio and a whole lot of other things.

Didn’t know this one either. There’s actually tons of hidden little features like that. They have videos on YouTube about those little hidden features. For example The back tap is one. You can set up the device to do something (a couple options like take photo, etc) by double tapping the apple on the back of your Device.

That actually is very helpful! Thank you (also to @mistercharlie )

Ironically, and perhaps given that I've provided little more than sarcasm to this thread, but this doesn't work for me.

Mine didn’t either. I’m thinking it’s in settings hopefully.

Edit it does work. It opens it up, there’s just no indication it happened other then seeing a new tab at the top.

I thought another tab appearing would be the only indication that it worked.

OK, mind blown now. That is cool. Only seems available on iPhone, but would love to see that on my iPad where I take screen shots all the time.
