No, there isn't a way.
You will have do it manually.
Even if there was a way, how would Drambo know which knobs to MIDI map in an unrelated, different project?
Thanks @rs2000 @Gravitas
I get your point @rs2000. My use case is 2 identical projects, same number of clips (different midi) and same instruments (different sound or preset), one midi-mapped, the other not. I was looking for a way to simply "copy" or import the midi-mapping from the one that has it, to the one that's not mapped. That would be simpler than creating a new project, copy and pasting clips, or changing the midi in a clip, and do all mappings manually.
The only way I know of right now is to create a midi-mapped template for future projects, which I'm going to do going forward. I was curious if there is a way to do this on an existing project that I hadn't midi-mapped. The new one (different song) had the midi-mapping. It would be nice to "import" the mapping into the old project.
It is not really important, given all the amazing things we can already do in Drambo. I was mostly curious.
Thanks again.
@reezygle If you're going to build a universal MIDI map template, I can recommend to set up a fixed set of MIDI mapped morph knobs.
Why?
Because these can later be mapped to any number of destinations and with any desired range of values.
You can somewhat reduce the amount of work when post-mapping if you save track presets and load them in the new project.
Great recommendation! Thank you! By the way I've been performing live with Drambo and I simply love it. Rock solid.
Excellent. Thanks! 😃
Is someone familiar with the ML-185 sequencer from Ableton/Max and knows if it's possible to recreate in Drambo? https://maxforlive.com/library/device/75/ml-185-stage-controlled-sequencer
Usecase would be for triggering slices in a flexi rack.
Sure!
Got a specific question?
Would of course be cool, to have something similar in Drambo, but have you looked at the new Neon sequencer or the bidoo dtroy seq in mirack? They can do similar things I guess.
Don't know where to start really. But good to know that it's possible.
I have Neon but didn't spend much time with it yet. I'm using Drambo in AUM now and I'm new to this combo or doing midi stuff inside there. I guess I can trigger flexi sampler slices/notes from a Neon midi instance?
I don't have AUM, but from the tutorials I watched for other apps, I'm confident that it has pretty solid and flexible Midi-routing. Maybe search YouTube for AUM and Midi. Then set Neon to chromatic scale, send it to Drambo and find out which notes you need to trigger the slices you want.
