Here is a document with midi spec https://cdn.inmusicbrands.com/akai/apc40/APC40_Communications_Protocol_rev_1.pdf_1db97c1fdba23bacf47df0f9bf64e913.pdf
Here is a guy mapping apc40 to AUM
and the mozaic files for it https://github.com/juanlittledevil/Mozaic-Scripts/tree/master
I've done mappings of the APC40 before, they do everything with CC/Notes and a splash of Sysex for configs. So it should work with the path Drambo is taking.
I finally got to play with the new spectral filter.
So good to finally have a 32 band graphic equaliser!
Thanks 👍🏼
It is w> @supadom said:
it is wired. First tried the spectral filter with only one oscillator and it worked fine.
Then i deleted the filter and made this patch. When the spectral filter is enabled all sound is cut also for ch 2. The same happens if i enable the spectral filter on ch 2. (The sound is cut on ch 1+2)
Is this reproducable every time?
If so can you send the file to [email protected] with full description please.
I don't recall the Spectral Filter ever being 'polyphonic'?!
Haven’t really tested it that far, but it should be polyphonic. Unless Giku forgot the little (1) icon.
Nevertheless it’s a great addition to have a multi band paragraphic EQ on drambo. Even if it’s monophonic it’s so helpful to separate sounds into their own bands with total flexibility.
Totally support smaller buffer sizes than the currently available, but that has been requested already
The problem would be that at smaller buffer sizes the resolution would drastically go down as the buffer is needed for the FFT calculations. All spectral effects add a fair bit of delay/latency, there's no way around it as an app can't 'predict the future' for 100% real-time usage...
Sure, but it’s another way to make crazy sounds 🤷♂️
I guess I’m partly to blame for thinking that spectral filter would be a graphic eq equivalent.
I just fired it up and made that assumption but I hardly ever think of things like poly or transparent. 🙄
I wish for three things
A colorize option for the horizontal track squares
Some kind of global midi mapping, like in ableton, that you just map the controller to “macros” and then it will modify the “selected” rack or device.. maybe in drambo it can just modify the mapped controls chronologically
That would be amazing
Better export option.. ableton set export would be amazing
I thought it was polyphonic from the off.
Agreed for sure in regards to crazy sounds.
Though we don't have colorize we can label each CLIP.
This is what @giku_beepstreet and the Beta Team are focused on right now.
Bidirectional midi feedback is on the horizon.
@Gravitas
I have not been able to reproduce. I recall that i used airpods pro 2 when i fors experienced this issue.
I would not say that it had something to do with polyphony. More that the audio was affected on more than one channel in question.
Anyway. When i tried the project again the audio seemed to work ok. But enabling the spectral filter has this wired influence on the timing.

Maybe you give me a hint of what is going on before i write to beep street.
I would still suggest that you write to Beepstreet with the issue.
The "wired" influence is the added latency when using the Spectral Filter module.
There's been a request to add lower buffer sizes so we shall be seeing improvements in that regards by the next update.
Thanks @gravitas.
I’ll report to beepstreet.
