I haven't stopped using it ever since it came out.
Thank you these are great and lead me to look to Reddit r/samples to find that KB6 site that has a ton of free sampled drum machines. The samples for the DRM-16 are especially good. Has multiple hits you could even set up round robins with in a sampler.

Hey, that’s a good source.
Does anyone here remember Mattel Synsonic drums back in the 80s? That was a very cool toy.
I have one
Oh, you’re kidding! Loved that thing back then.
No I'm not I have one and an SP 1200 too, Sp 202, Sp 303, Sp 404,MK2
I night want to sell the synsonic not sure > @NeuM said:
Have you used it in any compositions / projects?
Never used it, it belonged to my father.
He bought it in 1981 he may have used it ten times max
Its been sitting in its box in a closet since 1981
I will test it out this weekend
Synsonic the nasty drum machine
That was before my time but I’ve always been interested in it.
It’s a lot of investment I guess but Drambo and the samples from mars library have been my goto
Regular Ruismaker too, it has those classic sounds.
Cubasis 2 or 3 IAP Classic Machines
IAA - DM1 has a nice selection
so VADrum2 is the best for 808, 909 these days right?
I would say yes, but I wish the dev had put all controls on one page, it only shows 5 sounds.
It’s a lot of hopping between various ‘kit sections’ to alter the various sounds and I personally find this very inconvenient. If you can live with that it’s great. Especially in combi with Octachron which has the 909 and the 808 mapping for VADrum, I never use the onboard sequencer.
This is a bad mother.. HammerHead.. have not gotten around to Patterning 3 as of yet..
No shortage of old school drum machine sounds on iOS but a decent drum sampler with acoustic sounds is still sorely missed.
thanks! i got octachron a few days ago
.
arent any of the korg gadgets to your liking? bilbao, london, recife filled with your drum sounds
or go straight to gladstone
hammerhead looks nice, but i think i got the groovebuilder part sorted with drambo and octachron, just need good, slightly tweakable oldschool sounds
maybe ruismaker, but people said on here that VADrum2 sounds better
@pseudophysics Indeed, Korg Gadget London is very good for old school as well. Whatever you do, with Dials and Punchlab in the chain you will lift these drummachines up up up.
Decided for Ruismaker in the end. Much better interface and damn it sounds brilli! Listened to the demos on the page. So nice
Ironically enough, I uploaded my Phatmix Samples directory which has 268 drum machines and their factory samples exported. It’s organized and loose (so I can just pull them into apps)
Let me get the link….

I added to my Dropbox and i can also edit these files. Maybe you intended just to share and not allow editing. . . . Be careful no one accidentally deletes or abuses these files.
Thank you for sharing. Its a good collection.
Hi, @pseudophysics.
As you may already know, this article will update user's brain and help them enjoy Ruismaker more.
Ruismaker — What’s happening
That was a very interesting read. Thanks @cramdog
thanks! great app. and it got a total rehaul a few years ago. solid
Thank you for this. I do love an overload of 80’s drum samples. I shall have a play!
