  • The “far-Right” in France would still be considered mostly Left in the United States:

All of the major parties in France are Left.

Why? Because the far-far-Left has been slightly inconvenienced?

    I hear you on that.
These are uncertain times for sure.
I haven't seen the Far Right so strong and not only in France everywhere.

As previously stated, the so-called “far Right” in France is still largely Left. It’s amusing how this woman is considered such a “threat” to Macron’s base. Aren’t her supporters also French? If they have a democracy of any kind there, those votes and voices are also supposed to be counted.

@NeumM Once more, you should really do some serious research.

  • Didn’t Tolkien write something about this?

They are only ‘on the left’ if you’re standing to the right of Mussolini.

It’s tragic for humanity. Fascism utilised/mobilised for wealth generation and retention.

    «so-called » ? Are you kidding ?
You should definitely look into this a bit harder.
    Cheers from Paris.

Macron was a member of the Socialist party there. Other than being a full-blown Marxist / Communist, he's about as far Left as one can go. And he's an interventionist, which is another hallmark of authoritarian Left governments.

Mind you, she's just "less Left" than Macron. She's still on the Left.

That's just hyperbolic nonsense. Might I remind you that Macron is the one who reduced taxes on corporations there? (And by the way, I completely agree with drastically reducing corporate taxes to attract companies. This is something the US needs to do also.)

  • @jazzmess

    You're in Paris?
I practically lived between London and Paris for a year and a half.

It was openly prejudice back then so if the main politics
is going more to the Right then that doesn't sound like fun at all.

That's the opposite of what Elon Musk has recently stated. The Left has moved so radically far to the Left that they now call a moderate a member of the "far Right" in the US. He has traditionally been associated with Democrats, but no longer. They attacked and maligned him over their bizarre and divisive political agenda.

We have a long time (30 year?) Fox News/Rush Limbaugh devotee in our family. We can all mostly be civil for the most part which means we don’t talk about politics but I got into it a little with them just before the 2020 election. I was baffled to hear them call Joe Biden “Radical Left”. Fully believed it. WUTTTTT??? 😂😂😂

Joe Biden has openly attacked the 1st and 2nd Amendments. He IS a radical Leftist now. In fact, the Joe Biden of today would be unrecognizable to the Joe Biden of 10-15 years ago.

Again, make your point without making it personal. Engaging in ad hominem attacks is a losing strategy.

Where's your evidence? Just claiming something isn't evidence. I know she wants to end or severely curtail immigration into France, but French nationalism and protectionism has a long, long history there.

Arent u supposed to be ignoring me. So when will Biden be nationalizing our oil production?

Ps maybe Biden is just a politician who stays to the middle of the Democratic Party, wherever it may be at the time? Can you imagine that for a moment and not inflammatory BS?
