    No.

It doesn’t have a clip launcher per-se. You can set something like that up by using an separate Atom instance to send notes to launch clips in other instances though.

Ok thx Wim. So in summary, on iOS, and using a single instance, LK and Drambo are the main Au3 midi/sample clip launchers, and they both have both linear abelton style. And nothing has a Maschine linear + a non-linear ideas/song mode yet.

I would add Helium to that list. I can't comment on the Machine mode since I don't know it.

Actually Beatmaker 3 has both linear sequencer and clip launcher, which is inspired by Maschine.
Then there's also Zenbeats which also have both, but Zenbeats is closer to Ableton Live in how clip launcher works.
Personally not using any of these in favor of Drambo, since they have their own set of problems, but may be worth a try for you.

If we're including DAWs, then Zenbeats has both clip launcher and timeline too. It's better than BM3 in that respect for my needs.

  • @wim ah sorry I was wondering why you're not mentioning these but now I see it's about AU clip launchers. I tend to forget Drambo is actually an AU ;)

  • Beware: ATOM 2 still has no MIDI cc editing and is therefore mostly useless in a production scenario with synths.

  • Atom 2 even with it's limitations is still my go-to when AUv3 midi sequencer is needed.
LK might a better option for some use-cases where detailed CC editing is needed...

But heck, this is the type duties that any serious DAW should be able handle with ease in 2023...
...but guess we'll have to wait another year or two (again!).
