You don’t show AUM or Staffpad… or Cubasis 2/3, Zenbeats, Beatmaker 3, NanoStudio2, AEMS, and a couple more. But you do have 2 and below.
Beatmaker 3
Used to be cubasis
Garageband was my first, but I now count it as an instrument/sound source only
Edit: btw, there seems to be an issue and cubasis is not selectable as an option
For the most part it's Logic...
...BM3 on the iPad when I'm on the mood.
Cubasis on the iPad needs to 'grow up' before I can take it seriously...
...I know that statement will trigger Cubasis 'Fanbois' but I don't care
NS2, FLSM
Drambo
Zenbeats, Cubasis
X2! (And AUM, Loopy Pro, ApeMatrix, and CB3)
Same 2 here
That would be Xequence 2 and not some X for Files POS. Hi @SevenSystems. You hinted at adding audio years ago.
I’m glad you’ve held your ground and just kept making the MIDI better and better.
No I meant “times two” as in I also use Drambo.
Oh shit! Drambo is a DAW. It’s the ultimate BeatBox app that is all a DAW since it can load AUv3’s.
That makes Loopy Pro a DAW too.
But Xequence 2 is an ol’ school DAW like Cakewalk.
I'm starting to really like MultiTrackStudio
Audio Evolution Mobile
AUM. Multitrack DAW. Ableton.
Where’s Caustic 😎
NS2
Cubasis on iOS, Live or Studio One on the laptop.
In a zip file on my Dropbox. It’ll be back! 😎👍🏼
Logic on Mac
AUM on iPad
I use iPad only to produce music. The DAW/music creation environment I use depends on what genre I'm producing. For Ambient, it's always AUM. For EDM, it's either Nanostudio 2 or Gadget.
I also use Cubasis 3 to record vocals and sometimes to mix stems from Gadget.
But I know you're just beginning this journey back into music creation, so I think it would be helpful to stick to one DAW. And the easiest for anyone to grasp would be Gadget since all the sounds you'd ever need are built in (rather than having to work to import the sounds), and it's more akin to working in a studio full of hardware surrounding you rather than working in a traditional DAW. Once you get the basics down in Gadget, then you should be able to port that knowledge over to other DAWs of your choosing.
Oh don't get me wrong. NS2 is also super easy to use, but a little bit more advanced than Gadget. We want to start you off nice and easy mate.
MultiTrackStudio
btw ... Harmonic Dog isn't the name of an app. It's the name of the developer of the MultiTrack DAW app. Not to be confused with MultiTrack Recorder, and MultiTrackStudio.
VERY interesting in seeing how much MultiTrackStudio been mentioned this far. MUCH more than in the past .
Thinking about a OC/Ableton workflow w Roland Fantom 0 6 and trying to incorporate iOS into it without using Studiomux. Mayb record some iOS into audio for now, I dunno. But I’m slowly getting over my avoidance of using a central computer DAW, thank goodness .
None.
I have a couple of DAW's (BM3, Auria Pro, GB, Cubasis 3, Zenbeats, Gadget, NS2, Audio Evolution)
I can't get used to the workflow and takes away my creativity. Many times i struggle with channel setups and figure out inside communication.
I just experiment with AUM, and when i got something going, i just record it in BitWig or Ableton on my iMac with the iConnect AUDIO4+.
My iPad is more like a Swiss Knife than a DAW.
@Identor : Which do you prefer ? Bitwig or Ableton?
Gadget/Apematrix.
I use everything but Cubasis 3 is by far the best iOS DAW now if you’re looking for something complete and traditional. And projects export quite nicely to Cubase on the desktop where I’m using 12 Pro.
Q: is Xequence 2 + Loopy Pro really one daw split across two apps?
I prefer BitWig for the modulation options, and Ableton for the sampler. So Bitwig for heavy synth based, and Ableton for heavy sample based
