Korg has always been legendary when it comes to quality sound emulation and also affordability. Unfortunately their DAW in the gadget just doesn’t keep up with my workflows anymore and I haven’t used it nearly as much. So many time consuming workarounds and it seriously disrupts my creativity and concentration…I wish their ecosystem would have more compatibility with other hosts or the gadgets work as independent Audio Units in another host. The best workflow I’ve found was to actually use 2nd iPad just for certain gadget instruments and record it into an audio interface separately, instead of trying to bounce back and forth between apps all the time.
...I actually don’t even mind the gadget workflow at all, despite its quirks…it would be cool to be able to use it as a host too. Their in app effects are kindof meh (not counting the individual effects inside each gadget)
But yes, some of the best sounds on ios, and even better when they are properly compressed and mixed
Anyone remember the glory days when Gadget had an erase button that let you replace old notes with new live notes? Which they then got rid of in favor of the scale on/off button? Man that really pissed me off at the time, spamming the erase button while recording was how I would jam out until I got the perfect melody.
They got rid of that?! Dang it really has been a long time since I used it 😳
Yeah it was really dumb. No mention of it in the update notes at the time either, believe me I checked.
This is weird. The list says I don’t purchase such and such gadgets but I can’t find where to buy them .
In the app, except for a few that are standalones, too…which you should buy in standalone form not as Gadgets.
Thanks…Actually I found it..You press “create track” and it parents you w a list, both paid and unpaid..
