@thesoundtestroom :Thanks Doug..It sure does sound great!! I just checked it out ..wow!
I thought I had FAC Drumkit already, but for whatever reason I didn't. I corrected that just now. 😉
@ehehehe Also PolyBeat is brilliant for FAC Drumkit and many other drum apps as it has a ton of pre-mapping for lots of iOS Drum Machines and also Hardware Drum Machines too.
Great App

@jwmmakerofmusic It’s brilliant, don’t forget to go to Patchstorage and grab all the free FAC Drumkit kits, the acoustic Gretsch Kit by DJ Puzzle and also Zvons kits are really great, there are also Volca kits there too.

This poster is clearly looking for fast easy solutions and you guys are suggesting he buy a laundry list of apps that he must also learn to connect together and on top of that install sample libraries
Dude just wants to cranks out some beats. Ain’t got time for all that. Get him a good standalone daw or groovebox that sounds good for the genre and he can learn one app and be satisfied. Speaking of which : Korg Electribe Wave, a groovebox built for edm and associated genres. Just one example of course.
@galfaroth focus on finding tools that contain everything needed to produce a “finished” piece of music in one app and I think you’ll be happier.
Thank you! Yeah you described it perfectly: a laundry of apps and expenses I must commit to. I decided to try Cubasis sampler, which has a basic sample to key mapping and ability to chop. It’s a bit clunky comparing to Koala which for now I’m deciding to give a spin.
I really like the ideas for drums that can be synthesized by a synthesizer that you suggested. Will probably give it a try next month (as I try not to get into GAS syndrome and give myself a budget to spend each month).
I will try with Cubasis and Koala with auv3 and use my Splice account. If Splice had auv3 or koala was tighter integrated with splice or cubasis it would be just perfect. Now it’s cumbersome to browse in Splice iOS then Import to Koala then use it in Cubasis. Any ideas on how to streamline the process?
Then I use bunch of effects to shape the sound and good mastering to have a final mix.
@galfaroth i usually screen record from the splice app and then import that single video file to koala to chop up the samples. Yes it imports audio from video. I don’t use Cubasis so I can’t comment on that.
