Yes at this point it's getting ridiculous. I'm pretty sure they will eventually release their Pro apps for iPad, but obviously it's taking a long time to create a decent touch UI for them.

Could be, but if you look at the 'design' of the newer Logic Plug-Ins it feels like they were almost designed for touch.

So my guess they are at least working on 'something'.
The design of the QuickSampler propagated to the iOS GarageBand Sampler some time ago...

Yes I'm sure they are working on that behind the scenes. I guess it's just a huge job to convert an app such as Logic to having a usable touch UI, which is why it is taking so long.

So if Apple calls it Pro why are their own 'Pro' apps not even available?
And it kinda devalues the 'Pro' label...

Very risky for Apple to commit to bring unsuitable apps to the ipad yet.
There's no certainty that will ever happen. I think if they did they'd damage their brand, because they would be awful and wouldn't work well. I can only imagine the bugs and awful workflow :)

I'd rather see a hybrid device which could switch between Mac and iPadOS personally.

If he bought Apple they’d be focused 100% on their core business and I suspect half of the company would be fired for being unproductive.

Absolutely. And like with Twitter, Elmo would also misinterpret what their core business is and the 50 percent fired would include everyone from the team supporting that core business. 👊😎👍

... This whole thing provides a wonderful illustration to the old adage that says you should never buy hardware for non-existent software you hope to have on it in the future, but for actual software you can have on it now. 👍

  • Would have to convince Pro Apps senior management that Logic for iPad is worthwhile…they have been historically skeptical…that group is very independently minded.

  • Has anyone with an iPad Pro M2 with 1/2TB that comes with 16MB of ram vs 8MB in the lower storages... noticed any difference at all with having 16MB of ram? Is it worth the extra cost?
