Yeah there's definitely something strange going on. Now I'm getting an "audio unit failed to load" message on Cubasis. It's really not behaving for me.
Edit: shut down the project, reloaded it. All 3 instances of Megalit loaded with the correct patches. Press play and all sounds are there for 1-2 seconds before before falling silent again. All 3 instances have disappeared - just black screen where the AU should be.
Air 3, os version 15.6.1
For sure not. That’s the highest price of all Bleass synths so far.
I’ll probably skip this if I can’t import wavetables. Back to Drambo!
At least for the desktop synth they gave 50%, so it might well be...
It is a bit, Omega was £8.99 on launch. This is £12.99 here, which would make full price around 26 quid.
Hmmm…not activating my ‘instabuy’ levers…
Well I bought it, no time yet to play, but the demos sold it to me. I think this synth has that specific sound color I am looking for
I read Something that it will rise in the twenties (I'm Not Sure If IT is 21,99€ or 24,99€ - will edit that as soon as I find Out)
I saw $24.99.
It's written on the image that @ninobeatz posted. Normal price will be $24.99. That's quite pricey for an iOS synth. Inflation?
I love Bleass' stuff but this time I'm out. I already have multiple wavetable synths including my MicroFreak, the SynthMasters and last but not least Drambo. All the GAS made me buying way too many synths. Actually I started deleting some.
Totally relate with too many synth apps…just picked up a Hydra-Explorer and have a MiniFreak on pre-order. My brain will be mush for a while, learning to program these. Then maybe I’ll return to explore more apps.
Variation of the same problem. In NS2, first three instances were fine (and lovely ), but then adding a fourth caused the whole thing to go quiet. Reboot, still silent....
Right. That's 'good' too know. I'll let the dev know.
My (probably unfair) first impression after watching the two linked videos is that I've heard basically the same preset, with small modifications, again and again. And again. It's the opposite of impressive for me. Luckily, I'm the opposite of an influencer though. 🤷
In this case, you're right. There's really nothing new going on with this synth.
Could be... I was planning on grabbing this day one, but I’m not sure if I’ll get it now. Maybe alpha or omega instead.
I still like Alpha.
Omega’s good too, though the randomisations tend to err on the Silver Machine intro side of things.
Nothing wrong with Silver Machine!
This is my first payed Bleass synth, and… wow…! That motion sequencer.. and just about everything can be modulated, just tweaked for half an hour so far, so good. Great for my dub techno addiction.
I find it insanely amusing and disturbing at the same time that most of those who make videos and 'praise' the product they review are those who have been part of the beta or have gotten free promo codes or in some cases free hardware in order to create the 'review' videos.
Sorry content creators but the excessive abuse of overly positive adjectives just makes the overall credibility fall thru the floor.
Sure, it's all part of 'Social Media Marketing' but sooner or later it will back-fire big time...
So all in all I nowadays see 'reviews' as paid advertisement from the companies and have a hard time to trust the reviewer of being truly transparent in the reviews.
There are a few exceptions but most of the time it's more or less 'hype the product to the max' to create more sales.
A few bad words and it's black-list next...
(Thankfully my App-o-Holisim is cured, no more insta-buys ever again!).
Cheers!
My favourite FM synth, far quicker to work with than I.e. KQDixie, and plenty of control for use with a wind controller (or MPE).
Not sure I’ll get Megalit due to already having Animoog - I’m yet to hear sounds which are saying “must have”.
I definitely don’t feel I am guilty of that, and as I’ve mentioned here, I’ve been criticized by some on the forum for making suggestions for improvement, being critical of apps or devs etc. My Audiomodern vid, which was sponsored, pretty much began with a list of all the things I felt it needed added
You're one of the good guys and I really appreciate that!!!
What worries me is that the Youtube algorithm does its best to 'hide' those reviews that are somewhat honest.
(I seldom get a hit with some kind 'honesty' when I search for a review of hardware or software, it's all 'gung-ho positive words' over and over again with very, very few exceptions).
And some are super obvious 'sellouts' without naming any names...
...I've since long un-subscribed from their channels but there's no good way to make the 'algorithm' aware of that.
Cheers!
You can mark videos as „not interested“, maybe that helps 🤔
Yeah, but I'd love a 'block/hide channel', but that's nowhere to be found...
That's strange it doesn't have a function for blocking suggestions from specific channels - then again, it's not that strange when I think how much better things like YouTube Studio could be. I'm not sure what these YouTube engineers and executives get paid but it's definitely more than they deserve 😂
if you click on the three dots next to a proposed video theres the option "don't recommend videos from this channel", does that not work?
Sometimes it fails, when it's 'paid' videos, that seems to slip thru the block filters.
(Ie. when the video has a 'sticker/tag' up in the top left corner that says includes paid promotion).
But yeah, I'm quite active on trying to block them too...
I've never seen that tag...maybe my ublock takes care of that?!
edit: ah you probably mean in the video itself and not in the thumbnail, duh... but still, maybe something can be done by setting up a filter rule in an adblocker?
I kind of have the opposite "problem" on youtube, I feel like I get so much content from the channels I've subscribed to and barely anything outside of my "personal bubble"
