    Thanks @Halftone @FPC

I had none of these issues coming from 15.7 over to 16.2

I've just done a very simple test in Cubasis 3. I loaded up 4 instances of Megalit. Set up a 2 bar loop and then just noodled some notes in via the keyboard. Different preset on each instance. All worked fine. Closed project and re-opened. 2 of the instances are gone - just a black screen in the AU window. The other 2 still have the correct patch loaded but are silent.

....and now the iPad itself needs a reboot :/

I'm getting this: Megalit AU with no close button over the top of Cubasis intro screen!

Dunno how Bleass released this TBH, it's a mess.

    Air 5, all latest OS

I would try in a different host but really can't be bothered...

How to create a new patch with all controls and knobs reset?

  • I should have read this thread before I bought Megalit. Been loving the sound but multiple instances screw up in Logic the same as in Cubasis it seems. What a shame.

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Aye. But I think many will have whined about it before me. I’ll start freezing tracks I suppose.

I'm a bit late to the party here. Bought Megalit on release and refunded (pretty standard for me). Decided to get it again since I don't have a wave table synth I actually enjoy programming and I love tweaking bleass stuff.

Anyway, I haven't come across major issues, and I absolutely LOVE making basses in this thing. So much meat.

Throw the new arp in front of it. Yum.

I’m a bit surprised, as normally BLEASS synths are pretty stable (I’ve NEVER had issues with Alpha, Omega, or Monolit) which is why I’d been considering Megalit. Some of these posts are kind of giving me some pause. I bought ButterSynth finally and , well, that’s a subject for a different post. Last thing I wanted to do is have to refund another synth but let’s just say it’s nearly unusable for me. What’s concerning about Megalit after reading these is that these are happening in more stable DAWs than GarageBand, and thats what I’m currently using . I’m hoping these issues have been fixed since these last posts

  • Are those issues fixed?

I haven't had any issues in Loopy or AUM. Haven't used it much in logic yet. Any specific issues you want a test for in one of those 3? Not a CB user here.

Mainly the issues posted above about using multiple instances

  • I just ran 6 instances of Megalit in AUM tied to 6 different arps and generators. Flipped presets and tweaked dials while everything ran smoothly for 15 minutes.

    🤷🏽‍♂️ fixed maybe?

Getting refunds is pretty standard for you?

  • edited December 2023

Yep, I get refunds all the time. I like to buy an app, try it for a few days to a week, and then sit with it for another week to see if realistically it'll fit into my workflow. Then if it's "no" I'll refund, or if it's "not right now" I'll refund knowing that when I do purchase it'll be a permanent buy at that time. I still end up permanently buying a lot of things that I don't use though, sometimes just to support the developer, sometimes feeling a little completionist about a set of apps.

I probably spend about 500 a year on apps and before that about 500 a year on desktop software. We all know the better deal here. 😂

The app store is great about refunds if within 30 days and the first time you bought that app. Just choose "didn't work as expected" done.

Try before buy seems reasonable to me.

  • Wavetable import isn't working still. The wavetable folder in Files app is not writable.

  • New update: "Improved RAM and CPU usage, along with the added capability of importing Wavetables"

Here's hoping they've fixed all the issues...

All this would be a lot easier if developers would make demos. RedRockSounds does that and I bought more from them this way as I normally would.

  • How can I import my own wavetable?

  • @cuscolima said:
How can I import my own wavetable?

    It’s straight-forward and easy.

Open your Files app, go to iCloud, and find the “BLEASS Megalit -> Wavetables” folder. Save in this location your custom wavetables.

In Megalit, click on the wavetable name; scroll to the bottom of the list, where you should find your imported wavetables.

  • @cuscolima said:

Copy and paste wavetable into iCloud. You should have a Megalit folder and inside are 2 folders called presets and wavetables. Paste them into the wavetable folder and restart Megalit. I had to restart twice to see them show up in the OSC list. Should be at the very bottom of the list.

  • So... the wavetable folder and import process isn't new. It been available for a while to do this. It's a little finicky, not all wavetables work, and you can't organize them in folders, but it does get the job done.

Anybody know what is actually new about the wavetable import?

    It works! ;)

  • Dumbest question in the world…in this case , when referring to custom wave tables, are you actually just loading wav files that are converted upon import? I’ve been meaning to ask that for a very long time lol

  • SubFolders are currently not supported so a bit of care needs to be taken when choosing which wave-tables to add unless scrolling long list is considered to be a fun form of finger exercise :sunglasses:

Haha, well I have the same issues as before, some wavetables won't load (possibly a file issue rather than megalit), and sometimes the custom wavetables don't show in the list on load. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Business as usual here

For sure. Subfolders and a slight upgrade to the wavetable choosing ui are sorely needed to make custom wavetables REALLY usable.

I hope it happens sometime. Megalit is BY FAR my most used synth. Usually multiple instances make it into every project I do, out of hundreds of synth options...

So it works well with multiple instances? I know af one point some folks here said it didn’t but that was a while back. It’ll be a while before I can get this as I have about $10 left in App Store credit and my money is tied up elsewhere, but bandcamp Friday IS next week, so…

I don't have any problem with multiple instances.

Megalit ticks all the boxes for me for a beautifully simple, mpe capable, modulation rich, iphone compatible, wavetable synth. Even without importing custom wavetables I still find great tones and movements.

Also, I wish every synth I owned had its built in OTT. What a gem.
