@trickyflemming @amusesmile The latest Silo beta is WAY better on battery drain, on same AUM set as used for testing before. That’s with the GUI open, made a bit smaller than default, and with Visualiser off, which is very similar to previous config which demonstrated battery drain.
Thanks for your all your hard work
Hi,
Normally it should be pretty easy to get in touch with us.
Feel free to drop me a PM if you want to further exchange about Cubasis.
Best,
Lars
Just uploaded new Bass Mint and lo-fi-af builds for approval. The Bass Mint build should additionally fix @drewinnit's awesome sounding but terrible bug. I'll bump this thread once they're up in beta.
@trickyflemming cheers!! appreciate the quick fix, can't wait to Mint my Bass again
Just got a notification in the middle of a vertical beer tasting: lo-fi and Bass Mint betas are up! These should fix the interface and Drambo stutter issues.
Desktop versions of a few Unfiltered Audio apps (bass-mint, TAILS, needlepoint, BYOME) on sale for a limited time:
https://www.plugin-alliance.com/
Right now LOTS of their stuff is on plugin alliance on sale. I think I will get myself a BYOME copy.
@enkaytee oooops too slow
40 hours left btw
@trickyflemming I'm just watching Dougs video on Needlepoint and it struck me...
Can I manually 'scratch/spin' the record? Like tap'n'swipe up, down, left, right around and around
(Add that and I'll rush to the app-store and buy it, seriously, it would add so much to the performance aspect of the plug-in).
Good choice - BYOME is amazingly versatile...👍
I was using Needlepoint inside Cubasis a couple of days ago, and the interface behaves really buggy, like with some really noticeable and uncomfortable lag.
I´m using the last official version, so I don´t know if this might have been solved over testflight versions.
what? Which version? Cubasis 3? Which device? iPad Pro? Which iOS? Ios 16?
I didnt had these issues during the beta.
Last version of Cubasis 3 and Needlepoint (no beta version), iPadOS 15.7.1
Can you try the 1.0.3 beta here? https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/52657/unfiltered-audio-needlepoint-public-beta/p1
No we didn't add that, however it is pretty tempting to think about on the touch interface. I can't think of a smooth way to add it in, even if we did have the math/physics figured out, since we use the turntable as a global amount knob. Maybe double tap to go into "scratch mode" or something, but it'd need to not suck.
Gotcha,
Don't know how much time Algoriddim spent on the scratch function in djay Pro but it works incredible well on a touch-screen.
It's not a 'must have' feature but since we're talking about a touch-interface it's highly desirable to use touch to the max
Cheers!
TRIAD is even better ! 🤩
Absolutely - unfortunately not in this sale, but worth keeping an eye on Plugin Alliance as they're always offering reductions.
Great news! The JUCE Auv3 variable latency patch was released 4 hours ago. I'll get this implemented in Tails and will push out a new public beta.
NICE 😎
Alright, that was easy! Got the patch tested and released to public beta. While testing, I found an additional potential crash if creating multiple instances with different latencies, so this should be a rock-solid build. Let me know how this works for everyone.
I really appreciate the work you’ve done on the suite of apps. There’s not a duffer in the bunch, which is why I think everyone is excited to use them without any bugs, etc.
Tails is still the issue for me (i.e. reverb on a snare track causes huge gaps and off beat hits). It sounds like you got a latency patch so I look forward to the next update. Thank you!
The latest Tails update solves all of my latency problems! Thank you, @trickyflemming for your hard work. (It would be glorious if the latency setting — and "low latency" feels very natural for all guitar playing — didn't revert to "full latency" on every preset. Is that a possible fix to have that setting persist? No big deal if not.)
i had the same request…but was scared to ask…thanks for asking
For now, enter Lock Mode (lock icon on the preset bar), tap the latency combo to lock it, and then exit Lock Mode. That should allow you to keep your latency settings while changing presets.
Magic!
@trickyflemming Hi, just tested Bass Mint in the same project that gave me grief before, and it’s running smoothly again - thanks for fixing!
Excellent!
As a heads up to everyone on the public beta, I'll probably disable the betas in a day or two now that the App Store versions are in a more stable place.
The journey has come to a close.. thanks UA!! These first 5 are fantastic and can’t wait to see what the future holds 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great beta experience, cheers @trickyflemming!
Latest update fixed it
Cheers!
