Liking all of the collaborations around here lately.

    Collab is fun !!!

  • Great combination … I liked how you gave the piano lots of room… when is the album out?

  • This made me so happy. Thanks, guys.

Thank you for listening ! I was afraid the vocals were taking too much space, so your comment made my day !
We're not there yet for the album, but hopefully in the near future ! It is great to work with @LinearLineman !

Completely unexpected ! First time to hear my voice sampled and processed on a hiphop beat ! It's fun !

  • @SLPGroundSoundMusic can you briefly describe how you take apart the tracks?

I don’t know about anybody else, but for my money @JanKun your voice is a dead ringer for Chris Martin, lead singer of the band Coldplay. Nicely written and sung.

    Thank you for listening !
I am not a huge fan of Coldplay in general but Chris Martin has a beautiful voice so I'll take it as a compliment !

You’re 100000 times better. And you don’t make me cringe! 👏👏
I hear some Jeff Buckley there. Now that’s a compliment…

Wow @tahiche ! That's a huge compliment for me ! Grace has been a life changer on my musical journey when it was released. Listening to the track again, I indeed can hear some similarities, and understand a bit better where some of the melodies I used came from. Jeff Buckley is so much missed and will remain forever vocally unreachable... Anyway, thank you, much appreciated !

well i separated the vocal out the sample with a feature on Koala Sampler which its call (split stem) and the piano part i just took a 4 bars loop part in where there was no vocal on it, which it was almost at the end of the original track, then i chopped the 4 bars loop into 16 different steps to i can play them on 4/4 steps and then i pitch then up a couple semitones and from there it all about creativity, with just 4 bars of that same sample loop to make sound not repetitive through the whole track
