Do we have any guesses for the price? I think this might be top tier for Klevgrand. $29.99? More?

I'd guess that as a minimum

yeah it is Klevgrand. It would be definitely the most expensive their ios plugin

  • Haven’t read much on this before but now that I have wow I’m intrigued. Sounds really really cool.

  • Sounds like a gamechangier gamechanger than average, for sure 😂

  • Gamechangiest?

I don’t want to flood this thread with responses from Drambonians, so no way I’m gonna say that, lol.

  • I really can’t afford the desktop version so I need the iOS version soon cos it looks awesome

  • Maybe a little more light…

  • so is there an ios version coming soon? how long does it usually take between klevgrand desktop release vs. ios release of the same app?
    i’m excited for this one

  • They usually release at the same time. No release date yet for the ios version but it is coming for sure

OK, that took me from interested to stoked!

I also liked this vid! Level your expectations though - this won't just sample anything and turn it into a playable and expressive sample identical to what you put in. It won't handle transients for example, it's more about harmonics. But it is incredibly expressive and - as this reviewer said - is fantastic for pads, drones etc.

Exactly, just like any other wavetable synth. The periodic waveforms in wavetables have a lot in common with additive synths and it's no surprise that some WT editors do contain additive tools.
Long ago, PPG had a special wavetable implementation in their newer apps that kinda worked around it by using "TCS" (time corrected samples), basically using much shorter wavetables to achieve better transients - but only vintage heads still have them on their iDevices 😁

I was able to get my PPG stuff back from my purchases list within the past two months. Might be worth a check for anyone who lost their installations along the way.

Yeah, it's the shaping of the harmonics that I like in this Klevgrand creation. I thought this video did a nice job of showing the parameters that can be employed--and the results are quite nice!

True enough but the UX with wavetables can make a big difference in the overall sound shaping "joy".

Oh definitely. And they've done a good job here.

I still have PPG Infinite. Kind of wish I’d bought the others but to be honest I found the UI for Infinite matrix pretty horrible, even on a big iPad screen. But hell yeah, some incredible sounds.

Hell yeah, that’s exactly what I want to do with this when it comes out

I wonder why Klevgrand hasn't bothered creating more in-app purchases for their existing apps? That would be a quick and relatively painless way for them to pick up more sales. For example, there's room for far more Pipa voices than the generic female and male set it shipped with. Why not offer different vocal packs for users?

Tomofon is basically giving you exactly the ability to make your own pipa style vocals, and a lot more besides!

    RELEASED - for 17,99€ - I got it right now !

Not really. I've compared them and Pipa is a far more focused bit of software. Vocal simulation only, which is exactly why I like it. There is room for a ton of improvements to Pipa and all of the improvements could be paid add-ons.
