Yeah, slideover works well.
Open the files app.
Press the 3 dots at top of page
Then select the slide over option ( the one on the right)
Then choose cubasis as your other app n
Hi @ipadbeatmaking,
horizontal tracklist scrolling is not supported and might not be supported short-/midterm unfortunately.
Please provide us with a short clip which shows the steps leading up to the crash.
Thanks
Lars
Hi @Iskander,
On the list... hopeufully resolved in the next one...
Best,
Lars
Hi @timforsyth,
Glad to read you're enjoying the new improvements and fixes!!
Stay well,

"Drag and Drop". 😃 Can't wait to try this when mastering my next EP. (Currently using AUM to master with.)
Is it possible to drag and drop multiple files at once (selection) into the project or only one by one?
I can’t figure if I’m doing something wrong or whether it’s a limitation.
Hi @BillS,
I've created a short example clip for you...

Unfortunately as of now, it’s one file at a time.
Ok. Still a great addition.
Hopefully thay can expand it further to allow multiple files though - don’t mind it as is on my iPad as you can easily open Sample Crate or Files app in slideover however on my iPhone it becomes a bit cumbersome.
I still don't have the energy to check, but can we also drag an audio/midi event from the Cubasis arranger to the files.app and have it rendered as a *.wav file? (This would be a blast for dragging events from the arrangement into for example Koala).
From what I can see it’s not possible. I’m on my phone though. Maybe it would work in slideover?(although I doubt it)
Yes, it finally works with my airpods pro headphones again ! i’m back Cubasis
Love the drag and drop functionality! And all the other improvements, It’s greatly appreciated.
Thanks @LFS and team!
Unfortunately that’s not possible as of yet. I wish it did. It would make things so easy.
As of now. We can save the file to Mediabay, slide over files app, go into Cubasis folder and then drag and drop into other apps. The old fashioned way which can be long.
Also we cannot drag and drop multiple samples/midi . When multiple files are selected only the first one is imported. This really would had been beneficial.
You can drag and drop samples from apps like Neon into Cubasis timeline .
I wish all apps adopted the 4pockets way.
You dan drag and drop midi from helium into Cubasis timeline too. I know @LFS and the team work hard and will definitely implement these down the line.
Thanks for the update… any videos on this update?
When dragging audio to a specific track, the audio doesn’t land on the selected track, but a random one. Anyone else? @LFS
Drag'n'Drop works quite well from Drambo too, both from it's built-in file-browser, recorder and all the samplers
I'll check how well the general pasteboard works. This would allow easy copy & paste of content between apps, not just oneway.
I think my work-around for now will be to have the Cubasis project selected in the Files.app and dig thru the sub-folders until I find the audio file associated with the selected audio-event, should be easy if I rename the audio-event first.
This way I could use an external audio editor to directly edit the file accessed via document picker and after that somehow force Cubasis to 'refresh/update' the audio event on the time-line.
Progress is going forward at a slow but still somewhat steady phase...
...but I'll stick with Logic for now...
Cheers!
@LFS : Any hope for getting the ability to mix time signatures in the near future?
@Lars
I love Cubasis and will continue to use it regardless, (as it's the only iOS DAW that supports multi-core processing). However, it's also one of the few remaining DAWs that doesn't support Plugin Delay Compensation'.
Please see: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/52952/the-apps-by-unfiltered-audio-has-been-released#latest for a discussion of how important this 'standard' DAW feature is.
I'd quietly hoped PDC would be implemented in the latest update. I'm thrilled to see all the new updates and fixes (particularly drag and drop support), but please pass on to the developers the importance of PDC in a modern DAW.
We have a bunch of iOS DAWs available that contain PDC (and no multi-core support), and a single DAW that contains multi-core support... but no PDC!
It feels like we're SO close with Cubasis to being the top DAW on iOS, except it's missing one essential feature!
Which ones? (I know AUM does it, but it's not a DAW.)
Thanks
NanoStudio 2 has PDC
Audio Evolution Mobile has PDC
Roland Zenbeats has PDC
Auria Pro has PDC
Cubasis... doesn't!
Hi @musikeer,
Unfortunately we are unable to reproduce this. What are the exact steps that lead to the issue (ideally starting with an empty project)?
If you can reproduce it from scratch, please share a video with us.
Thanks,
Lars
Happy 10th birthday Cubasis ,
& to Steinberg many decades more, pioneering computer sequencing & DAWS ,
bringing many new ideas which others have borrowed …..
so after 20 years of being polite I say it’s fine for you to add a Session View & borrow from Ableton yourselves.
Cheers.
One wish for all 'Classic Machines'. Add per sound adjustment for pitch, panning, level, decay, gate/one-shot and playback direction (forward/reverse) as well a new 'empty' machine that allows us to record/load our own samples...
...and well, bring on the Cubase Sampler Track for Cubasis.
I'm guessing there's a pretty long back-log for tempo/signature/chord track, key/scale-support for piano-roll editor and the on-screen keyboard and a gazillion of other requests that have popped up over the years...
