Any updates? I finally caved and bought the first version bc I didn’t wanna wait anymore lol V1 is amazing though! Maybe in contention with Borderlands for my favorite granular app on iOS

Nothing concrete yet - @deltaVaudio is still looking to get v2 released but his day job is pretty intense...

Understandable. I’m hoping he at least maintains V1 in the meantime (bug fixes and so on). It’s a fantastic app. I’m sure coding a whole new app is stressful though so no rush there.

    :# Get well, dev.

Finally got around to getting v1, even though I have plenty of granular, and it was well worth it. Definitely has its own flavor. B)

  • Don't want to be that guy, but is there any news (possibly, maybe)?

I wouldn’t expect need until it is released. As I understand it, the developer works in this in his spare time and has a fairly intense job that limits his time to work on this.

Yep - Mark is still wanting to release v2 but isn't able to commit to a timeframe. It's likely that the desktop version will get updated first so may be worth keeping an eye on the product page at Tracktion - https://www.tracktion.com/products/spacecraft

If I hear anything definite I'll post here, but like @espiegel123 says, Mark's a very busy boy so I don't like to keep pestering him!

  • I texted him on twitter/x to see how he was doing but have not heard from him! Busy guy!
I love spacecraft so much tho and can’t wait for him to release v2 to the wild. Its so good

  • He's a literal rocket scientist or something like that, right?

Yes - a really clever guy...Spacecraft was always a bit of a hobby project and after his battle with covid and now work getting intense it kind of takes a back seat, but he knows the world is waiting... ;-)

  • He will be back soon!™ 😅

    Fair fair, I can wait

I think he works at NASA.

I knew I had read about this somewhere and finally found it :)

I'd like to think somewhere there's an astronaut's forum where someone is regularly pointing out that Guidance, Navigation and Control systems is a small niche within the niche of interplanetary space science missions, and that the target audience for independent control systems engineers is not as big or as profitable as everyone thinks! 🚀

    😂 👍

And Mark has hinted that v2 on desktop could be a free (or very low price) upgrade for v1 owners...just sayin'...😉

I'll check with Tracktion but looks like the download links for v1 desktop are missing on my account - which means that the beta of v2 also isn't available - if you own v1 you should automatically get access to the beta.

    Agreed I did.

Spacecraft is such an amazing granular instrument. I have tried several of them (recently bought Novum) but nothing come close to Spacecraft. I'm looking forward for SC2

  • SC2, when? Do we know?
