Don’t buy the Infinity Paper IAP. It said it was free but it just charged me $16

About to request a refund now.

Edit: it’s not allowing me to request a refund because “I have no purchases eligible”. Contacting the dev and apple about to now.

Really, sorry to hear that. That’s rare. I would be reaching out too. It could be a glitch of some sort. I think You can usually see the amount before you Face ID/Thumbprint for purchases…

I hope/trust this was the glitch it sounds like and the fuckers square you.

As regards the app itself; anyone finding it useful?

It’s ok. Nothing particularly special. if you got it free, maybe a $1, and have an Apple Pencil or Logitech Crayon, it could be useful.

I actually found a somewhat similar app that’s free called Jottre, can use your finger/stylus as well as Apple Pencil. However you can only create notes on iPad, but you can view them on iPhone and Mac.

Found this one too Noteplicity is another free one.

    And another…

Pen & Paper Digital Journal is free

Pardon my ignorance but why not apple’s stock Freeform?

No ignorance at all, freeform is definitely a good option. I think people were discussing and reporting more about the odd IAP pricing behavior, then the actual app. There’s definitely plenty of handwriting/Apple Pencil options available, and Freeform is a solid choice. Cheers!

I keep forgetting about freeform. I need to use it more.

Already have them all but those are great prices. Especially for what you’re getting. They have a few free instruments for decent sampler that are also very good.

Thanks for mentioning that, interesting… that’s really odd. There’s sometimes issues or confusion with bundle prices, but in the majority of cases it can be explained. This one doesn’t make any sense to me at least on the surface. Maybe because the bundle is so new it hasn’t quite triggered the price connection, but I’m reaching with that answer. If you paid $.99 for one app in the bundle, and the bundle is $1.49, it should have only charged you $.49 to complete the bundle. That is assuming you are in the States.

    OSC Audio GumRoad

I don't like to be a hater, but my experience with the OSC Audio plugins on the desktop was unfavorable and I uninstalled the lot. Filed a bug report and heard nothing back. Looked at the file sizes and was shocked at how large they were. Interpreted that data to mean the reverbs are largely sample based and not algorithmic. I paid nothing and lost nothing except a little time, and if people find value in them, don't let me dissuade you.

I’m not as big of a fan of their plate and spring reverb (they’re decent) but I think SumFX is really really good. And the “pocket” series of apps and DS packs.

Sucks you had a bad experience though. Maybe they’ve changed some? They seem pretty responsive on here since they’ve come to iOS. The dev semi regularly pops in to comment on the forum.

I like those too. The Keys have a sort of faded quality to them that I’m often looking for in a piano.

Also, if that’s a sound you’re looking for, I’ll recommend Jon Meyer’s Kawai Felt Piano instrument on the formidable Pianobook site. Also free.

    Hey there,

We would like to inform you that we have decided to shut down the site.

The reason? It's simple, the economics are not there anymore, we can no longer run this site without massive out of pocket expenses.

After long deliberation, we decided it's best to simply let go.

A big thank you to all our fans and viewers!

And good luck to all the copycat sites that shamelessly scraped and stole our content on a daily basis... no harm, no foul, it's how the web works!

It was a fun ride, but it's time to say goodbye.

    Until next time!

I bought spring+plate reverb pack and returned it due to bug in Garage Band. Both of them caused some acoustic crack noise during adding and temporarily disabled whole audio in GB.

So I really need to work with what I have for the next month or so lol

Oh WOW. Some of these prices are the lowest I’ve seen. At least in a while. Might be all I need to convince me to get GF2.
