I personally wouldn’t say it’s anything like them. It’s additive synthesis and very much doing its own thing. I think it sounds excellent though. And I use it quite often.

Always been interested in NuRack but never bought. For anyone that’s used it, are the actual effects of good quality? Making your own effect is super cool and novel but I’m curious of the effects themselves are high quality compared to something like MixBox or iFX Rack?
I like NuRack. It is right up there with BYOD (I use both). It has stripped down elements from Paul’s other apps and you can arrange them how you want in a rack. You can get pretty creative with it in what you can build, including modulation options. As for quality, I would say it is above average and worth a buy at the current price. But if you have apps like MiRack, MixBox, Drambo… NuRack might be overkill.
I believe Nu rack does have midi modules as well as audio, so you can do audio fx and midi fx.
Thanks! Don’t have MixBox, still waiting on it to go on sale, but do have MiRack, Drambo, iFX Rack, etc.
I’m more interested in the novel aspect of “making your own”. It takes a slightly different approach to it. I’m still debating right now but I’m kinda leaning more towards yes at the moment. His sales don’t last long though so I gotta decide quickly 😂

Always Happy to see a free Au. Dont forget they also have a few other free AU’s as well, free vibes, apple sax.
These apps aren’t the most stable, and they are a little bit janky and lack some conventional iOS music making features, but I still hecking love them. Sooo good for practicing piano, guitar, or bass playalong jamming and starting basic composition structures (once you get the hang of it). There’s still not a lot of other stuff out there on iOS that does what they do!
Pro tip: if you are using other apps in AUM or something like that, for your sound modules (like a virtual piano or a SWAM instrument), definitely redownload this app on your phone or another device if possible and plug into an audio interface. It doesn’t seem to play along well with other apps running from my experience
Just added link.
Apple Sax isn’t AU
