The new AudioThing app is brilliant. MiniBit it’s called. The audio Kit one too. The tracker mentioned above is also a really great one.

Some others: SunVox, both PixiTrackers, Squaresynth (maybe my favorite one), Sinusoid, and the IAP in PSP. Gadget is amazing for those too.

How you you compare MiniBit to SNESynth (the new one from AudioKit)? If I have one, is the other one redundant?

I would say no. The AudioKit it more like a chiptune ROMpler. MiniBits is an actual chiptune synth with a really unique waveform and sequencer implementation.

I'll pick that one up next month for sure! I think next month I'm going to do a retrowave type trip, and since I'm getting BA-1 at the same time it'll be perfect~!

Oh sweet! I really love Square Synth as well. It has a really cool built in sequencer/looper and sounds excellent. Also check out AudioKits Saga Synth if you haven’t yet.

On the Desktop Deflemask finally has some real competition form Furnace tracker...
    https://tildearrow.org/furnace/

The available chip list is HUGE can even contains an YM2413(OPZ), the FM Chip used in the TX81z...

That's interesting. My end up running it on linux here.
And no need to choose between Furnace and Deflemask. I can still sketch on deflemask on android/ios and finish up on furnace

  • Poison 202 still manages to surprise me from time to time when I mess around with it...

...even simple sounds can get pretty massive :sunglasses:

  • Getting Minibit made me delete both Shapersynth and SquareSynth
