Oh, no! Maybe my all-time hero. His phrasing, dynamics, touch...such a master.
this live version of Cause We Ended As Lovers always gets me:
Dang, that's a real shame. A true artisan of the craft. A big loss!
One of the very best. RIP Jeff.
Jeff Beck and other contemporaries in incomprehensible clip from Michelangelo Antonio’s Blow-Up (1966)
Just saw this.
RIFF Jeff Beck! And I mean "riff!"
Rest In Peace
I watch that scene several times a month.
I believe almost any movie could be improved by having the protagonist walk into a Yardbirds gig at some point.
Wasn’t expecting that one! We just lost another one of the greatest! RIP 😢
One of the all time greatest! A true inspiration and legend for the ages.
f##king hell
Dang it...
The sequence gets even more incomprehensible when he throws the neck in the trash.
Oh, no. Bad news…. RIP.
One of the most original 🎸 guitar players ever.. on a whole other level.. such versatility.. tone, touch, emotion.. a singing quality.. unpredictable.. …
A huge loss.. 😢
Thanks for all the great music Jeff.. you will be dearly missed.. 💔
Jeff Beck - Live at Ronnie Scott’s
Damn. That is so sad.
Sad.
Ok I gotta ask, what's with the 12 year old playing bass? Is she his daughter or something?
Love it!
The wailing guitars, the feedback, the distortion, the stock-still audience.
Edit: until Beck tossed the broken neck into the crowd, then pandemonium!
Rest in peace. He’s an absolute axe legend

Indelible.
Until some asshole tossed an M80 on stage and it exploded above his head. Still kept on jammin’ though.
Hell,no…sad.
Some young bass protege named Tal something. She’s fucking amazing! In the clip I posted above - there’s a moment where you see Jeff look on in amazement and bow to her.
Her name is Tal Wilkenfeld, and she is an extremely talented musician. Look up her profile on Wiki, and you’ll discover she has played at some point with virtually anyone who’s anybody in music.
Her energy is truly infectious.
One of the things I loved about Jeff was that throughout his career he not only exposed his audiences to young talented up and coming musicians, but he also time and again stepped aside and let the spotlight shine on them.
He was a true gem of a person.
Rick Beato does a nice tribute to Jeff’s unselfishness here:
Damn. I take most RIP's in stride. But this one hurts. I'm almost in tears right now. That's not like me at all.
True greatness and uniqueness and class. RIP!
The Live at Ronnie Scotts DVD is one of my all-time treasures. Mind blowing end-to-end. And yes Tap Wilkenfeld is amazing. That DVD is the first I had heard of her. When I saw her on stage at first I thought ... oh no, not another throw away where someone brings on their kid or nephew and they kinda suck. That thought didn't last long. 😂
Fanculo,Ciao
Brutal. RIP Jeff. An amazing musician.
