@PONGTROMETER , @HotStrange
sorry just now saw your question : set the note priority in the layer panel to "Layer" (for all the layers). That way each subsequent note on will be played by the next layer (which obviously can have a totally different sound). See also in the manual , section 5.2.

Am I doing something wrong?
Using woodsynth standalone, the onscreen keyboard does not respond to touching. It only works after sliding my finger, but that’s not really useful. I’m using a 2nd gen iPad Pro, and this is the first time I’ve experienced this. I’ve tried some different presets, but it’s the same thing.
Edit: when I use an external midi keyboard, it works as expected.
@Darkstring : that is weird, also after doing a reset to default ? As I can't reproduce this (iPad Pro M1) can you make a little vid showing it ? tnx !

Woodsynth is $5!!!!
Must have
Good call! Thanks
Np
Also currently available for MacOS from Audio Plugin Deals for $24.
Good call sir
Dog... Not helping! (Working on this Self Control thing. Got a small collection of credits for very specific things and gotta wait on any new immediate fomo (because this time it's not because I can't, so like full on Self Control... 😖)
Stay strong papa... Stay strong...
(Srsly tho, appreciate seeing the positive words on stand-out sale items. Greatly helps sift out the best from the absolute litany of things available)
@woodman. Thanks for the great deal. Two questions though.
No parameters are exposed as automatable in the AU plug-in - is that correct? Seems a shame if so.
Is it possible to export user recorded samples and user created wavetables? Cheers.
@Robin2 : on the Mac automation is supported : see screenshot. Exporting recorded samples to a wav file is currently not available. If this is critical for you, I can add it to the TO DO list.

@woodman I've added Woodsynth in a Midi track in AUM to use its sequencer, it works well but requires an active sound source, like an osc to work and this impacts a lot the CPU. In such a case where Woodsynth is just a Midi source, would it be possible to run the sequencer without all the DSP computation and save CPU?
Thanks for clarifying. I should have said, I’m using the iOS version, don’t have a Mac so that’s not an option. And as i said, not having parameters exposed for automation in the iOS AU just seems a real shame with such an in depth synth.
Regarding the export of samples and wavetables, it would just be great If they were saved by default in the Woodsynth folder accessible on the iOS device. Not only would the user then have access to them for using elsewhere if required but they would also be available to be used in another patch which doesn’t currently seem to be possible? If you create a wavetable you really like and want to use it again in a different patch, you can’t simply load it as far as i can see (though i might be missing something?).
@jsmonzani : I 'll think of how to add this in a next version but for now you can save CPU time by
just out of interest how much is your CPU usage ?
best,
Woodman
@Robin2 : ok exporting the recorded samples seems like a nice feature to add in a next version.
automation in AUv3 is a lot more work but you are the first one to ask for it.
best,
Woodman
Just read the app description on this one. Looks impressive.
How does it compare to LayR?
How steep is the learning curve compared to LayR and SynthScaper?
I can’t find any information in the manual about the ARP … the Layer settings seem to have a timing setting, but no Direction or other parameters apart from on/off.
Does each layer have its own timing setting? Are ARP settings global or individual for each layer?
Not just this, everything on the APD is -20% with code „ JULY4“.
So it is under 20$/€ now.
@craftycurate : the ARP is rather basic, I concentrated on an advanced sequencer ...

Thank you! I didn't notice I could switch off the filter, which helps a lot. I'm hitting 17% DSP now in AUM (iPad 9th gen) with just the sequence running (and nothing else) vs roughly 24% previously (polyphony of 4, 1 osc, and filter), so it's more reasonable. As a point of comparison, a pure MIDI sequencer like ZOA will be almost not noticable (4% or so).
One thing I've noticed is that I need to set the sequence MIDI output in ADV section after loading my patch as it's not saved in the patch but that's reasonable as well.
Thanks for the tips and prompt answer!
Cheers
That’s great, thanks @woodman. Hopefully that will include exporting user wavetables as well?
Yes, i can appreciate that it would be lots of work to add AU automation so i do understand that it’s unlikely to be added at this stage…especially if it’s only me that has raised it as an issue! Still, never mind, there’s plenty which can be done with the internal modulation. Cheers.
I love Woodsynth, a big +1 to getting some AUv3 parameters exposed please - even just those @woodman deems most important, as I understand doing them all is a large undertaking.
@Robin2 @drewinnit : it is on the list but will be for later this year, first finishing a new plugin for August :-)

Bought this… gradually figuring it out. So far diggin’ it
Is there a way to latch the keyboard in standalone mode while tweaking settings?
good news on both accounts! keep up the great work
@skiphunt : yes switch on the Lock button below the layer Led/Button on the left.

@woodman are there any physical modelling components to this? I can’t help but imagine that from the name😅 and I’ve been really enjoying misusing the comb filters in serum recently with mpe to such ends…
@Krupa : haha the name comes from part of my company name, but no not real physical modelling ...

I thought as much but just thought I’d ask in case it was hidden away in some feature that could be mangled into use… 🙏
I wasn’t seriously thinking about picking it up until this information. Thanks ☺️
