Apps Coming in 2023..
I had some self control over the past few months and held off on getting Fluss and Wires.(Plus a few others). Mostly because I’m saving my pennies for a few apps that should be coming soon.
I see on the Facebook group for Synthmaster that SM3 development is getting near the end - maybe summer? SM2 is one of my top synths so highly interested in this.
I’m on the Butter Synth beta and it seems like it’s close to being ready - it sounds great and I’m pretty sure I’ll grab this one day 1.
And the new klevgrand Tomofon synth or whatever it’s called looks super interesting from videos I’ve seen - if it’s priced reasonably I’ll probably get this.
What else is on the radar for this year? Loopy updates/features I guess. More stuff from Audio Things. What else???

Butter Synth and Tomofon are at the top of want list!
We'll have to wait and see...
...I'm still looking forward to seeing some major updates (or new versions) of some of my favorite apps.
So far it's been a super light year with zero new app purchase and honestly, why even bother buying new apps when most of them just end up wasting space on the iPad after the initial 'wow factor' wears off?!
Very much into Audiothing, looking forward to their releases.
Sugarbytes Graindad ? wasn’t there official ( or twitter ) confirmation of IOS version coming when desktop was released ?
I heard it wont come to ios.
While I’m actually not such a fan of its sound. But I’m still curious to see Pianoteq on iOS/iPadOS.
Pianoteq 8, RC-20, PSP Infinitstrip Wind, Blackbird N105, Blackbird Mo-Q, Modalic Beat Scholar, more Baby Audio ports, more Unfiltered Audio ports, more Audiothing ports
I’m looking forward to new SWAMs, especially harmonica.
Hadn’t heard that RC-20 was coming, very exciting. Is that confirmed?
Magic Blur and Magic Pitch

+1.
I've got so many apps a new app has to offer something really useful or unique these days to get me to buy.
There’s no written declaration or info about it online anywhere yet. Simply, a message from Ninobeatz that he spoke to the devs at XLNaudio. He has taken it upon himself to establish a community on Facebook, and to reach out to several desktop devs in order to sway them to port over. It’s a known thing in the ipadbeatmaking.com discord server
Logic will absolutely definitely be released for iPad at WWDC this year.
😂
Beat Scholar, Pianoteq 8
This time for sure!!
Late 2023, a new modular sampler, it’s name is Vie ( Virtual instrument Engine)
I'm waiting for Noises by Audiothing
Me too. If I recall correctly, there will be world/ethnic instruments on iOS this year too.
It was just a false alarm all those other years…?
I hope that PaulByDesign's FM AUv3 synth gets released soon. Also, KORG hasn't brought us a new app or gadget since 2020.
I gave up thinking Gadget will ever get an update. They know IAA is getting obsolete and coding it to auv3 will probably be too much work. They just let it die and milk it in the meantime with some new IAP modules from time to time. But that's just my 2 cents.
IF Paul's FM synth will ever see the daylight I hope he makes it auv3, but we have to be realistic, it will probably be one of his other personal projects with zero connectivity. I am a bit negative today.
Cool apps drop yes, but will I get long-tern usage out of them once the 'wow factor' wears off?
All I know is I will be very picky when new apps drop...
...so far ZERO purchases this year...
Fantasies: Return of iMaschine, NanoStudio 3, Beatmaker 4 😆
Definitely holding my breath this time
Seriously though, I think this is going to be what it takes to get me enthusiastic about iPad production again. Having all that power on-tap on my M2 Mac makes me annoyed with my M1 iPad, because I can see what it's capable of. Of course, if it did happen then I'd just be annoyed that I didn't have V Collection on iPad 😜
😂 I feel Logic on iPad will open the flood gates to suites like V 🤞🏽🙏
Yeah, I think I have enough wavetable, granular, and FM apps at this point. Okay, I'd probably bite for a good CS-80 clone but there aren't too many other gaps in my synth collection, and I have pages and pages of effects I've launched maybe once or twice. The GAS tank is empty.
Pianoteq & Butter Synth.
Your lips to Arturia's ears 🙏
I’ll be disappointed if Patterning doesn’t get some skin in the AU game. Kamen said he was working on it a couple years ago, dunno if he’s a full-time dev though.
Yes.
If it ever happens (and I don't really think it will, at least not as anything near a full port), it will never be at WWDC. Whoever made those predictions was out our their mind. 🙄
