Those examples are killer. I must admit I wasn’t sure what to make of copperhead originally but once I saw/heard a few videos and bought it I was happy. Can’t wait to have these patches at my disposal. You are awesome @Spidericemidas

Yeah I'm totally stoked with it. Incredible range of creative possibilities. The bank will eventually be released as an update to Copperhead. I'll post a notification on the forum when it's about to be released. 👊😁

Awesome. I thought it might be included since they have a few other banks in there from a few other sound designers. Plus after a quick search I didn’t see a bank or patch import…

Up to about 90 arp presets in there now. There's so much fun and experimental stuff can be done with it. I found some are good also just as one finger basslines running alongside a 4-on-the-floor kick drum to get something groovy going in AUM to jam over.

I'll release it soon and then I've got to start a new bank for Pads and Atmos sounds. The tools onboard now provide huge scope for interesting sound designs and it's so quick and easy to program.

I don't want to come across as impatient, but Copperhead is now in the Synths I purchased pretty much only because of @Spidericemidas folder on my iPad (along with a dozen or so other items now), so any further delay in releasing these gems is becoming increasingly hard to justify, mate.

It's hard to put this thing down and stop, but yeah, I think I'm at the end of the arps bank for this exercise. Now the hardest job is to find names for about 90 presets! Omg 😂

@Spidericemidas Dude, 90, dang. I’m good with names. I do like to hear the sound first but If you need a hand let me know I’ll dm you some names. I can just throw some at you if you like… Plus there’s always chat GPT. Tell it to list 50 synth preset names. Boom. There’s more than half.

Right! I'm having all of those, if I may?
What is that program? Looks like something on desktop. I don't use a desktop. Can I get it on iOS?
That's brilliant. Some nice alliterations in there, I'm all for those!
With that kind of help, I'll have them all named and released next week! 😃👍

All assistance greatly appreciated for this bit, thank you! 🙏

Please feel free to dive in!

    Here's what to do…

    Go to https://chat.openai.com

    Register/log in.

    You'll see the following screen:

In the search box at the bottom of the window, type in your request.

I typed in this, to generate that list (it brought up the whole 50 I asked for):

List 50 names for synth presets.

Hit return or the send button to submit your request. The AI will do the rest.

And voila, 50 preset names, just like that! It's incredible really. Although the poet part of me thinks I would prefer to name them myself.

Here's another 50 if you want them:

Happy to help @Spidericemidas, just let me know if you need any more help. I've had a pretty geeky week, compiling open source plugins in Cabbage, learning to write Terminal code to codesign them, and now trying to resolve major issues with Kontakt Player crashing Ableton. So this is a lovely break from all that.

I just remembered you're on iOS only. So here are the other 25 you need. That should make 100.

I just tested the link https://chat.openai.com on my iPhone, and it's spitting out a list of 100 preset names as I write. So you'll be able to spend more time making wonderful presets for us, all on iOS.

AND… I just realised you can copy and paste from the app on iPhone too. So use mine, or generate some more and copy and paste them. It's all up to you @Spidericemidas!

Here's to celebrating your new preset banks! I wasn't going to buy Copperhead, but how could I resist now?

Wow! Those are all brilliant names, just like that!
Extremely helpful and very much appreciated.
Those will do very nicely indeed. That'll get the bank out there in no time!
You'll all get a credit for the suggestion and assistance in naming the presets when I post the notification. Good collab! Thank you! 👊😁

Yeah, I'm itching to get started on a bank of pads and atmos sounds. The modulation sequencer on all those parameters is going to be very interesting to explore at the slower speeds for evolving sounds.

You're most welcome @Spidericemidas. Your presets have always been my favourites, and you give so much to the community. My part was just a little research and asking a question a few times to an AI. What a wild world we live in these days! I never imagined, I would say something like that. Asking an AI a few questions.

    @Spidericemidas

Yea it’s freaking unreal. I love it. It’s all about how you talk to it. The more descriptive the better. Instruct it, but also talk to it. For example say “act as an English professor. List 50 words or idioms, for preset titles.” Or get more specific by mentioning a writer you like, or a topic you want the results to be in.

I like to use the original site, but sometimes it’s at maximum capacity. They released the api for free I believe, so anyone can now include it on their own sites or apps. However if you search it in the App Store it’s hard to find one that doesn’t have an IAP subscription. There was an iOS app that was free for about 4-6 weeks but is now subscription based. There is a ton of iOS apps out there now and more everyday. Not many are free though.

Here is a couple free apps you can use if the OG site is full or simply for convenience.

Poe by Quora but lots of tracking

AIChat Chat AI & AI Assistant - no tracking shown

aiBuddy Assistant - description says free for a limited time

Haha amazing, thanks! I'll be using this method again for sure to help with naming the next bank of pads and atmos 😄👍

  • Good to hear @Spidericemidas Heck if I can help you in some small way as a thanks for all the free patches you’ve given out, I will. You let me know and I got you. Lol. But seriously.

  • There are some great ones in there @andowrites and @cytone

  • This is already my favorite synth I own...and the idea of a preset bank from you just makes it even better!

  • The finished bank has now been submitted to Paul who will be submitting to Apple as an update to Copperhead's library. So should be available soon and I'll post a new thread with a link to Copperhead when I get a date from Paul. 😃👍

It's a very helpful tool as I find the hardest thing about making presets is naming them!
I've created a new Spidericemidas2 bank with a group dedicated to pads and atmos. Now to start on those! For this next one I'll try to include some mod wheel stuff, but it's not so easy for me to include things like mod wheel and velocity as it means setting up my keyboard midi controller at home in limited space. I'm 100% mobile with just the iPad on my lap wherever I go.

This exactly! Imagine how must easier it would be to create preset names for a themed synth such as Poseidon 🤗
