  • Ipad is amazing right up to the point where you have to interface with the outside world.

@Gavinski Shades didn’t work out for me, unfortunately. Wasn’t a hugely sunny day, but was comparable to when I last tried.

It doesn’t dim the huge reflections, but does dim the rest of the visible area. This might be different for anyone with an ‘Air’ or ‘Pro’ as the laminated pixels will help with a certain amount of reflection problems.

Fortunately the weather seems about to change, so am much more likely to be seeking shade. Was really hoping this would’ve been a solution for halfway cases, but they have to go back :(

Ah damn... Shade it is then! Thnx for checking!

Haha yep. It’s almost some sick joke!

It’s 2023 and somehow having one long usb C cable that connects to a hub with all your peripherals while still powering the ipad is near impossible.

    Yeah...Definite shame.

  • I'm heavily invested in iPad, but taking a sabbatical with the MPC.

What I feel the platform lacks most is a strong consistent interface to hardware, primarily a MIDI keyboard controller. After so many apps, I'm leery of learning new things. My muscle memory in my fingers should let me take a new app with exciting new sounds and play it quickly with a standard MIDI keyboard and pads and knobs.

Maybe it's a strong MIDI standard needed for iOS, or a rosetta-stone way to cross-map to existing Arturia and Korg controllers, and, yes, MPC.

My two cents, while mostly on sabbatical.
