Yeah, this...
It’s never enough, until your heart stops beating…
I often find myself hearing about something, thinking 'this sounds cool', looking it up on the appstore and then realising, damn, I actually have this - and haven't even deleted it lol. A recent example was Modulin
I love that there's still tons of cool new ideas and plugins with interesting GUIs and different algos coming out every day with new ways to create and make noise.
I feel that the way to make music is not buying plugins, but using the plugins in we have. It's why I'm taking a year-long GAS hiatus. I'm forced to use every piece of gear I've bought, and what I don't use I clearly don't like for some reason and I strip it away from my workflow.
I say more cool, weird plugins. Especially with AI rearing it's ugly head around the corner with new algos to play with.
Happens to me as well from time to time...
But I have to say that even though I've cleaned out a LOT of apps I don't miss the once that are currently gone from my devices.
(And yes, I've removed a lot of 'classics', Nave, iSEM, PPG Apps, Yonac Stuff, IceGear stuff, Synthmaster One, BeatHawk 2 and shedload of early AUv3 effect apps that are total meh in comparison to what we have available today).
Also a good one:
