Can you sync it with AUM?
I am just going to repeat what others have said here. Essentially I hear one synth with a ton of reverb and/or shimmer.
As for sequencing, I use Zoa, Riffer, Xynthesizr, and Piano Motifs on a real slow BPM.
Unfortunately you still can't do that. Best if as many people as possible email the dev with that request if they think it is important. For me it's not a deal breaker as I can control a bunch of instruments simultaneously just with this

Another way to create a semi-generative sequence: a random sequencer, like Riffer, to launch stored patterns in 4pockets Euclidean in AUM.
I've tried and tried, and I'm struggling to get Temp and Latch up and running. Something I'm missing. I did get sound out of Temp once, but I couldn't replicate it. Oh for a manual or two from this dev.
I'm sat with Latch at the moment, listening to this tutorial from SoundForMore. But I'm not getting a peep out of latch, even though it's showing it's connected via MIDI to Korg Module Pro.
Oh, to know what I'm doing wrong… it's so frustrating, you saying how much I would love these apps. Me believing that, and loving how they look, and appear to function, but the reality is here I am with a silent iPad!
I need a tutorial and a manual for each. It doesn't seem too much to ask, given the price.
Following up, especially FAO: @Gavinski, I finally got some sounds out of Latch! I didn't have background audio turned on for Korg Module Pro. Now, perhaps I will make some progress. But still, this app looks like it should be more intuitive than it actually is in use.
Just make sure that the midi source sent out by latch or temp is the same as the one you’re feeding into your daw / host! The website “manual’’ is short on words but thorough enough as long as you take the time to read it. Treat it as a koan, concentration practice 😜
any basic synth can do this, add delays, reverb like Black Hole and a sequencer like Polyphase, Fugue or whatever the flavor of the week is

This piece is mostly generative. The only things I toggled live were turning the instruments on in the beginning, and off at the end to let the reverb tail breathe out. And I took the recording I did in AUM and applied PaulXStretch to it.
That said, for your host, you can't go wrong with AUM. Regarding synths, any synth will do. Although my recommendation when it comes to analogue emulations is Zeeon (in my opinion).

Romplers are definitely your friend when you want "acoustic" sounds. Apps like Korg Module Pro and its IAPs, Beathawk and its IAPs (the AUv3 can be used as a rompler), and PureSynthPlatinum 2 and its IAPs are three of my favourites, but there are a ton more out there including World Synth.
Now for note triggering, there are a plethora of MIDI AUv3 apps out there that can do the job just fine, but my favourites are Atom Piano Roll 2 (which is a sequencer without randomisation) and Ioniarics (which has the ability to trigger random notes that you select beforehand). Ioniarics is tricky at first to wrap one's head around, but @Gavinski 's tutorial covers everything super well.
For LFOs, I LOVE FluxPro and mLFO. I used the former in this piece. What I controlled with it is explained in depth in the SoundCloud description. FluxPro isn't a MIDI AUv3 and has to be loaded as an audio effect in a blank mixer track, but its LFOs can be custom, not just restricted to preset shapes like sines, saws, triangles, etc. It has a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get it, you got it.
I wouldn't worry so much about mastering at the moment. In AUM, just use AUM's default gain to ensure the overall sound peaks around -10dB (or less) and use AUM's default limiter with threshold set to -0.3dB just in case any surprise peaks crop up. And I wouldn't worry about using PaulXStretch at the moment as it isn't necessary to produce good generative Ambient. I just like adding my own flavours to the sauce.

OK, I’m a bit late to this thread, but there are a couple of things maybe worth adding to the mix.
One is the Valley reverb in MiRack. It’s superb for this kind of thing, and you can modulate things like the wet and dry, and the decay length, size etc. and it sounds glorious.
Two is a favourite method of note generation, which I picked up from one of Mylar Melodies’ videos. Three or four LFOs, their outputs mixed together and then through a sample and hold and a quantiser. Or use a quantiser with a built in s&h like MiRack’s Lazy Susan. I’ve got it in action in the following video, though this is a much busier piece - you can go really slow, though, it’s just dependent on the triggers.
In this case I have the quad LFOs modulating each other’s speeds, and taking three outputs for each row, mixing them, using a scaler and transposer to adjust the range before hitting the quantiser. Set the quantiser to whatever scale you need.
If you want random triggers, I’ve recently started to fiddle with using the Dust module. Also using a Bernoulli Gate is handy.
Another option would be Mutable Marbles (called Random Sampler in MiRack). A short snippet of one of my patches with it (more droney in this case):
Marbles can output three triggers, three quantised sequences and another modulation CV at once, with controls similar to the Turing Machine module (which is also good for this kind of thing).

@sevenape i immediately thought of spectrum and alteza before I saw your video. I think velvet machine could also adds sound of those grains on the reverb that are there a few times.
I don’t have many IAPs in Beathawk yet but PSP, Module, and the Taqsim stuff is all great. I think Taqsim is the only subscription app I have because the sounds are just really good.

Love that reverb. Had lofty ideas about getting to know miRack, but seems it’s well above my pay-grade. If I never realise any of those ideas, that 'verb will still have justified the $15 I paid for the app
Now I have to go look for the Valley reverb.
It's called 'Plateau'. If you search by tags, it's easier to find.
Another tip (from one modular amateur to another): Grab the audio effect rack from 'Demo Patches' (It should be the first entry. It has an interesting delay already wired up. So either replace that (Just a simple case of rewiring the ins and outs to the new effect) or add your chosen effect after that.
As long as you don’t break the circuit you should now be able to save the new patch, then use it as an effect within any iOS host/project.
Also a great delay called Sangster. It's MONO, but you can add 2 instances and wire it into that same initial or now-modified patch. Just follow the correct sequence of ins and outs for the left and right sides, to the mixer.

All of this is done in MiRack. And what got me going was the series of beginners videos by Dean from Electronisounds. Very straightforward, and clear.
