Nice !
Where did you find the stick?
I searched for one some time ago but only found self centering versions.
It was a self centering version. I undid the screws and removed the springs.
very excited to see where this goes!
Plan is to have it self contained, small, battery powered and running BLE-MIDI so it's wireless.
Also, initially it won't cover every knob and button. Just the main ones.
Thanks.
Certainly looks a lot more advanced towards a production model than the one that Behringer announced a few years ago…
Lol 😂
This is a pretty small but good one. Available in different configurations.
The exclamation mark means it's going to be out of production at some point.

Are you gonna attempt to recreate the pin matrix too?
New business opportunity for you here...
I can't. The app doesn't allow any midi messaging to control the pin matrix.
Insert crying face here
@cyberheater is that a Arduino or other microcontroller?
It's an ESP32 board with WiFi and Bluetooth. They're cheap and powerful.
A so-so workaround could be to use iOS Accessibility Control and map a single tap gesture on each matrix point to a MIDI note for example, but these would be "blind toggles", maybe best controlled by momentary pushbuttons.
Progress. Have completed the first firmware version.
I can control the Joystick and Attack buttons using hardware and control the iVCS via BLE-MIDI.
Very cool! What all will you be able to control?
So far just the joystick and attack button but going to add a load more.
That’s awesome man great stuff! iVSC3 is maybe (for me) the most lively and organic sounding iOS synth so I’m sure having physical knobs will take it to another level.
Preliminary work on the layout. I’m a bit old school so pen and paper it is. More pot knobs on the way.
Does your controller support more than 7bit MIDI resolution (NRPN)?
Yes. I spent a good week working out a way to reliably send out 14bit NPRN messages. I'll use those for the 3 VCO frequencies and the filter cutoff.
Have tried both 7bit and 14bit for the joystick but could not detect a difference.
Looking good
This project is very cool, I’m really looking forward to seeing it come together
That's super cool, will you share the code afterwards?
Yes.
Finally finished the graphics for the face plate. Took me a long while to learn the software.
Welcome to the DIY rabbit hole. Hope you left a trail of breadcrumbs. I didn’t, and now I’m stuck here
Physical layout feels good.
looking good so far!!!
