  • Importing may be difficult on second sight, seeing it's a pdf, but maybe still of some use...

  • I think, here is probably the same patches as a sysex file:

  • thank you!

  • No problem, thanks for reminding me I stumbled upon this some time ago. I'm not that interested in classic FM right now, but maybe along the way.

  • Hi all I am happy to see how @sevenape manage to have a minimal nice selection of apps. I think we do the same kind of music.

What I do on my IPad ios16 is that I have a folder for my minimal setup ready to use , a folder for stocking some other apps that I can use for a specific music style and a folder for apps I can test before buying and that seems perhaps interesting.

On my Destop MacBook M1 I got only LogicPro X and no VST , I don’t need VST as Logic Pro have for the price all I need. By the way MACOS Alchemy is too much understated n the synth world and cost nothing when you got Logic Pro X .

Once you know what you want to do you know what appps you need. Stay logical with consistency and master what you have is a good mantra it is my opinion but I respect members that love to buy apps as collectors.

    that's interesting!

    Maybe this is too:

Haven't tried it, but there are iOS synths, that can import them, right?

Should be able to open them with KQ Dixie... I think.

UPDATE: It's just a PDF listing all of the settings for his patches. That's not useful if you're expecting something usable right away.

These managed to survive the cull. Basically can do everything I want I think… not quite digital minimalism, but I feel more streamlined.. at least on the iPad, not so much on the waistline.

Out of curiosity…what all did you get rid of?

various romplers, audulus, filterjam, dawnbeat (that didn't last long at all), zeeon, tap delay, animoog z, Filterjam, mlfo, the spectrum bundle and more!

You got rid of Animoog z 🤯 ?

I think Drambo is probably 'all' someone really needs, but other things are nice to have

I'd still miss SunVox being the chip-nutter that I am...

Since Drambo doesn't yet have any wave-table creation tools (the Wave Effects are out of this world though) I use two samplers in SunVox to create my own wave-tables by doing some finger-painting and merging the frames into one long wave-table that I can import into Drambo. (Ie. I play the frame I'm drawing, when I'm happy I paste it into the other sampler, once all frames are there I export the sample and import it into Drambo).

The thought call would be to not have any 'DAW' available on the iPad (BM3, Cubasis, GarageBand etc.) and I love Gadget 2 too much to let it go... (I'm a sucker for the 'Korg Sound').

But yes, less apps helps me focus.

I’m with both of you guys. I at one point had DRambo and only that with a couple AUV3 (drum and instrument [eg piano]) and Then I realized what same said, and while it’s sort of like the best all around groove box and tool, I needed a DAW, and it was he that convinced me after seeing his posts BM3 would be perfect and he’s right. DRambo+BM3+ Synthmaster 2 is all most people would need.

(Cubasis 3 is still the most powerful and full feature packed DAW but it’s pricey and I think the BM3 interface is nicer)

No significant problems with BM3? I've had fairly frequent crashes, and at one point at the point of any attempted launch it would buzz noisily and freeze. A reinstallation fixed the buzz-freeze problem, but I am still tring to figure out makes it hiccup. It may have choked on too lengthy of a sample? I really want to have it working reliably...

My biggest issue is the crash in IAA w/Rock Drum Machine. Other AUv3 don’t do this, but when I try to get a sample from loading up Rock DM it’s the Lumbeat Inter App Audio that freezes/crashes. Aside from that, I didn’t have much trouble, and much less crashes than Auria Pro which I deleted too.

I WISH they would update it. If N Track did it, and now AEM did it big, why can’t they just put a little more work into it. I love BM3, i also wish to have a more stable app. An update would really change the DAW to make it back in the top 3 for iOS i would think.
