Oooh oooh ooh let me guess……elektron is bringing overbridge to ios? No wait…I know…NI is gonna take another stab with Maschine. Actually, its Pace bringing iLok to ios, isn’t it? iLok plugin manager for iOS (cck needed for powering iLok dongle)

And where do I find these “snippet nuggets”? Google search turns up nothing but this thread and OPs screen grab.

5$ and a case Genesee Cream Ale this is Ensoniq coming back with a ASR emulator. For reals. Ensoniq back from the dead. Mark my words. (this is in spoilers because I’m bound to secrecy)

If this big name has no iOS presence currently, they’re in for a rude awakening.

As not a dev, i find these “I’m in the know and you are not” teasers the fastest way to make sure you’re not in the know anymore, nor have to try and keep secrets anymore.

  • My guess is Universal Audio. They just had a leadership change not too long ago and are looking to expand into new emerging markets. Or it could also be Apple/Logic, as they just recruited Universal Audio’s Dave Tremblay. Tremblay was the chief designer for Avid’s AAX plugin structure and more recently Universal Audio’s software design team. There has been some speculation that he is working with Logic on the AuV3 plugin structure. Tremblay is a huge deal in the audio plugin software design space. All of this is just wild speculation to spice things up a bit more… hehe.

I agree except with one exception. Moog. Apart from them, I’m much more interested in smaller and just for iOS devs

TBH, compared to the likes of Roland and Korg, Moog are a small company.

As for the main announcement, I can’t get that excited. If whatever it is turns out to be useful or interesting, fantastic. But I can get very excited about concrete announcements, if what’s being announced fits those criteria. Otherwise whoop-di-do…

  • Finally Eventide!….Fabfilter?….Cubase?…..McDonalds?…

    Fair point!

Lol.. what even is "high end"? Who precisely decides this?

The opposites of "high end" are "low start" and "humble beginnings".
But more seriously, high end does not necessarily means big name.

    Let the 'hype train' roll...
...postings like these are getting really annoying.

It says absolutely nothing and just spews speculation has has ZERO to do with actual music making and as such should be a violation of the new 'rules' :sunglasses:

In Germany we call people like you „Spielverderber“, and as I have to read everything on English I guess you can use google translate 😊😝😜

  • Any one of these?

Again a simple Yes/No will do...
    (It's for 'expectation management' purposes).

LOL, I know enough German to get that one... (Studied German in school for 6 years) :sunglasses:

That’s great. Germans schools have been good until 2005, after that we got a „Merkel“ and this killed everything, including the school system 🤣

  • Soundtoys.. fantastic fx.

Yeah, I'm located in Sweden and it's unfortunately the same mess here...
...but nuff about that so we don't break the 'forum rules' LOL.

  • (Light goes on) General Electric? (Light goes off)

    My guess is Tampax.

Haha. You mean hardware: like an apple branded tampon or Software: maybe a period tracker?

    Amazing cant wait.

  • @Sam23 , I Hope that this guy is better than your tech analyst Jon Prosser in your thread in 2020 about Logic Pro coming on IPad…. nothing personal about you just to not rely on what people say if you don’t know them personally and even if they know they got an NDA not to share with a stranger except if you collaborate as contractor or you are an employee at the right level.

Here we are not all musician some of us are or were at highest level in the software industry for big names perhaps even Apple. And some are very skilled dev like @brambos or other dev here.

Some of my friends are still at top management for software at Apple and I know why you can’t expect Logic Pro on IPad actually in terms of sofware architecture but an improvement on GB to include some functionalities specific to GB software architecture that feel like Logic Pro but are made by a different team of dev using not the same dev tools. I think to last big update on GB.

Jon Prosser need to do at least a BA in sofware engineering before writing. On what he don’t understand.

Your thread before this one was in May 2020 about Logic Pro on IPad coming in 2022 :

I see your point on the “fake news” clickbait potential of posts like this.

  • @brambos they are kind of cringe, yes. But you're not averse to a bit of teasing yourself 😉 although I know that's a bit different. And as this and many other similar threads here show, people love to fantasise about upcoming releases - perhaps more than they care to play with what they already have 😂

  • @Stuntman_mike Speaking for myself it’s because I’m sooooo tired of being surrounded on all sides by people saying I should be excited by things I really couldn’t give a toss about. For clarity, by “on all sides” I mean not here specifically, or in the music world either. It’s everywhere: hordes of hyped up people wittering on about inconsequential tripe as if the world is going to change because someone’s made a new trainer, or there’s been a breakthrough in widget manufacturing.

And I’m definitely in grumpy old man mood this afternoon!

It is human nature for sure. You buy an apps , it is the new hype and you forget it some years , that happen to everyone included myself but we try to be wiser.

  • Well, unfortunately it’s not going to be Cherry Audio. I have send an email with the question if they had any plans to start releasing on the iOS platform. To my surprise I got a reply back in an hour!

“Hi, no we do not have plans for IOS.
    Thanks for the suggestion.”

I remember I got something like this from AudioThing a while back, and a month later they started to release on iOS! :)

    I definitely feel you there!

  • Wake me up when there’s an actual announcement, otherwise this is just a BS “insider” flex. I mean, here, let me make an announcement:

I can’t say when or what, but a well-known developer you likely have heard of will be introducing a new software synth for iOS.

Given enough time, I am 100% certain that this announcement will turn out to be true. 🙄

+1 I'm just tired of being over-sold stuff. I'm no longer interested in game changers (or have we agreed on changiers...? 😉)
