@cem_olcay In Polybud, it is possible to change the number of steps in each parameter… Could you implement this in Binarhythmic too? At the moment, if I press the “+” button, then every parameter has one step added to it…
Yes, that’s the main feature of PolyBud. It’s not possible for Binarhythmic though. It has ‘bits’ instead of steps. And each bit has a note, gate, velocity, logic, trigger type and MIDI channel individually.
Ah, gotcha. No worries! Thanks for replying man..
After using the interesting new features with ShiftBud, it made me want to revisit Binarhythmic again. It’s one that I have neglected to really study in detail so I am now re-impressed by this unusual sequencer.
Hey @cem_olcay ,
Once I got deeper into it I wanted to start remotely triggering the parameters, in particular the Multiplier but I discovered that when I send a remote change, I can see the Multiplier number changes -as if it’s working- but it actually is not changing. I’ve retested this many times and I’m certain now that it’s just not working to change it remotely. Like I said, the number display changes, but the actual Multiplier does not change.
I have a vague memory of this sort of thing happening in another Bud app.
I really hope it can be fixed without too much difficulty.
Just tested on AUM, that’s right, I’ll fix it and release an update today. Thanks for the report!
Thank you! Lots of interesting variability with the Multipliers.
The new version is live!
Got the new update but, sorry to say, it’s still not working. The numbers change remotely but the Multiplier does not. 🙁 Don’t give up!
I’m very positive that it’s working.
Hmmm, maybe. I'll have to make a movie of what I'm experiencing. I'm not used to videos so it might take me some time. So I'll get back to you, thanks.
Here's a video.
I made a very simple Binarhythmic using only 3 notes. I'm using buttons I made in KQ MIDI Modulate. When the video starts I change the Multiplier with buttons on the app so you'll hear how it changes. I used Multiplier 4 because it's noticeably simple to hear. I change it back and forth between 4,3, and 5 so you can hear how it's supposed to sound. Then I use the pads on KQ. When the pads light up, notice that the Multiplier numbers change, but the sound remains on #4.
I think it's harder to notice the problem when using a more complex sequence because of the many ways it can alter the stream of notes it can be easy to miss the problem.
Ok, the video cleared it out, thank you. I fixed the AU parameter change. But the same bug remains on controlling it with MIDI CC (not with AU parameters, like in your video). Fixed that as well and uploading a new version.
Thanks for your diligence!
