I’m not saying I’m a bad singer but deaf people refuse to read my lips when I sing.

Are there apps that help train your voice.
What are the autotune options for iOS?

The app I used to learn to sing is called Erol Singer's Studio: the app will play some notes and record you as you sing them back, while displaying your pitch in real-time compared to the notes. By using this app I learned how to hear when I was in tune, and from there I was able to start singing.

The app was £10 for a permanent license when I bought it back in 2013. It's gone subscription since then unfortunately, but if you are really serious about learning to sing I can recommend it because it worked for me.

Of course using the app is only the start, you then have to practice (a lot) afterwards. I used this app for about 3 months, and once I got the basics I practised with an acoustic guitar playing cover songs (which is a lot more fun than singing single notes or doing vocal exercises). It took me quite a few years before I was any good, but that's not surprising since I was learning a new skill in middle age. But if I can learn to sing, I would say anyone can, as long as they're willing to put the effort in.

My bad, @Danny_Mammy ! you sure did recommend Auto Tune.

  • I have already made several collaborations with others although I only do covers ,but if you want, I can sing in one of your projects.
Here one of my mini covers you can check it out.

    Nice voice.

  • FWIW, I do have Akai MPC auto-tune and other vocal suite effects, which does real-time pitch correction to nearest scale tone, and harmonies. Only renders to audio.

haven't used Antares Auto-tune to say enough to compare. I strongly suspect Antares is much better.

Workflow-wise, I'd prefer something that acts like a vocoder -- letting me play the pitches while I sing -- but renders good vocals with both the MIDI piano roll and the audio.

    hihi no worries

  • Definitely go find a singer. Too many people turn to alternatives to an actual singer, which is a shame, as a good singer can really turn a song into something great.
