I don't necessarily agree with the premise of your suggestion, but I have no problem changing it if anyone could be confused. The post had little to do with those other synths anyway, so I changed it entirely. I endavor to maintain forum decorum at all times. And be pedantic as you like! I'm sure I am myself sometimes.
Actually, after writing my post, I looked at past posts in this forum and saw multiple posts about a similar issue, so I decided it wasn't an issue unique to me and left the title unchanged. But I have since made a change due to popular demand. And I have no problem with that. But there sure do seem to be a lot of guest editors at this forum wanting to rewrite your posts.
So in this case, I don't think the post was unfair. I also don't agree that anyone would be misled by the previous headline, because even if it had been confusing, does anyone rely on a post title alone to judge an app? I imagine anything is possible, but I hope there aren't a lot of readers here who gather information in such a superficial way. I think it won't do them any good over time. That said, title is changed, and everyone should be happy now I hope.
The issue you are running into only applies to the somewhat unusual case of using quite large buffers..,but none of your posts made it clear that this was the case…they give the impression of an unusably unstable app, and I don’t think that is accurate.
Apparently your undersized buffer served you well! Thanks for the support line tip, but I regularly see discussions of app crash problems here, and don't recall ever seeing multiple responses from people having issues with the practice.
I've never returned an app, and have probably bought hundreds. It would be a bother to me, like all customer service inquiries. So I personally appreciate someone reporting real issues with an app to help me decide whether or not to risk money on it. And as it turns out, this issue with Zeeon was not just me after all. So methinks I didn't really commit any crime here.
@gravytop : no one is accusing you of a crime. We are just saying that your posts give a sense of a fatally flawed app which most people do not find to be the case.
I like the fun you've been having with the thread title @gravytop
A large buffer is unusual? How large a buffer is unusual?
I never said anything suggesting it was a generally unstable app, which my asking other if it is unstable nonsensical.
If a program doesn't function properly with an available buffer size, it's on the developer to make that known at point of sale, in my opinion. I don't relish spending any time whatsoever trying to fix a problem a problem not of my making, and then having to sort through a bunch of criticisms of my legitimate concern on top of it. In fact, if you ever decide to increase your buffer size, you can thank me for bringing to your attention why it is no longer working "flawlessly."
In a forum where no small part of the conversation is reports of and complaints about app problems, I'm having trouble figuing out why I stirred a hornet's nest (small one, true) in this thread. Very odd. I'm not asking for an explanation, I don't intend to spend additional time on this subject. Thank you for your thoughts anyway.
Why would I do that if I don't intend to shop
I am confused. It sounded earlier like you were saying that the shop didn’t work.
Are you just saying that you are bothered by seeing an unnecessary message that says the shop is only available in standalone mode when you are in standalone mode ?
