For some reason Groovebox always sounds much better to me through external speakers. More so than most other apps.

    Weird. In what way "better"?

Oops missed this. I was just meaning relative to how it sounds on the iPad speakers vs external. Somehow it sounds much more vibrant - more so than other apps.

Wow…. forgot this does Export to Ableton LS… Audio and MiDi…

Come Amplfy Music.. Auv3 would be…. Well, very nice.. All their app would.. Ableton Live 12 would love then too..

  • Yes. Just used it a couple days ago. Got it a couple years ago. I only purchased a couple soundpacks but didn't buy pro or anything. It's fun for coming up with ideas and playing around, but I don't use it to create anything. After using it a lot over a few months it started to sound a bit repetitive. I wish there was an option to export the MIDI from it - I would pay for that feature if it was reasonable.

You can’t load it in AUM as IAA?

ohh yeah that’s a handy little workflow. thanks for the video

  • I must be sleeping under a rock i just noticed this is now owned by focusrite

I still use this app cuz its just too easy to get something going and isn’t stressful lol

  • I’ve been going through another Groovebox phase - despite what it doesn’t have (AUV3, user samples) there’s still nothing else like it.

The synths are really good but it’s Drumbox that I’m in love with: I’ve got 90% of the IAPs and it’s been a long while since new ones have been on offer but: So much ground is covered with the existing library and as much as I love user sample ability there’s a lot to be said for the sheer speed of mix-matching the (generally awesome sounding) proprietary packs.

The sequencer is one of my favorites: effortlessly switching between grids and gridless, nudging notes, velocities and the automation is so fluid. Lastly the export options: full mix, channel stems.. crazy fast.

I had to enthuse Groovebox again and along with Koala it’d be worth owning ipad(s) Just for these two baddies. <3
