I don’t have a pic at the moment, but I’ve been using a TV dinner tray, with audio interface, usb hub, iPad and speakers velcroed down to it. Works pretty well, but a suitcase would be even better for portability.
Here‘s my take on a portable setup. More about that here

That is so ... ridiculously ... beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Haha are you also getting inspired by all these setups?
No. I'm never going there. 😂
But damn it's nice to look at. 😎
Are you iOS only? I never knew if you were a hardware guy or not.
iOS only. Unless guitars count as hardware.
I have a Macbook Pro but never use it for making music.
I could never justify the expense or the space for hardware for my level of music making. Plus I have a high aversion toward collecting too much stuff. Even all that I currently have weighs on me. I would probably be happiest living in a tent.
@wim I have a similar mindset and would love to exist in a tent far away from civilization with my toys.
Haha my and my wife live in a tiny house so I feel you there. We’re gonna be moving to a slightly bigger place next year though, but still nothing huge. I don’t even space for my guitar or drums here which is a big bummer to me. I’m mostly iOS myself but do use a little bit of hardware.
Here's my live setup. Both the iPad and the MFT are on magic arms (usually used for film equipment) and fold under the Linnstrument into the case so it's all in one. I made a custom side rail for the Linnstrument to have magic arm attachment points. Hiding underneath as well is a Zoom u-44 audio interface.
I recently bought a case and made a solid rig that is suited for me. I can setup the whole thing literally in less than 2.5 mins at shows or at home. One of the biggest headaches at shows for me has been setting up and wiring my controllers. With this rig, I made it so the controllers are all wired up and setup on one side of the case that flips open. The rig consists of:
The case is AnalogCases Unison, Performance Edition:

With this setup I have all the knobs and buttons I need for that tactile experience. And the SP404 is great because it works as an audio interface as well essentially giving me a sampler, an audio interface, and an effects box, all in one piece of equipment. I can also use the same setup using a laptop simply by replacing the iPad with a laptop.
For apps, I’ve created an iPad shortcut which launches AUM, GR-16, Ampify Launchpad, Drambo, and GeoShred. The M1 has plenty of power to run all these apps at the same time. With the Apple iPad case with keyboard, I can easily control-tab between the apps when performing live. This allows me to seamlessly transition between the songs between these apps. I have all the midi mappings preconfigured for all the apps.
Sometimes I take my Minilogue XD to shows along with this rig. And hooking it up is a breeze. 1 Midi cable goes into the usb hub and 2 1/4 inch audio cables go to SP404’s input.
It’s perfect for me and I just love it now!
@reezygle always love seeing the setup you’ve made. I’m working on doing something similar but it will be iPad - MiniLab3 - 404 mk2 - and Roland sh-4d.
Thanks man. Ooooh the sh-4d! I’d love to have one of those some day. It’s not an if. It’s a when. 😅
I only have space for one synth so I figured it might as well be a synth that has 11 different synths inside it 😂 also it just seems like it sounds great. That + a 404 together would be a killer combo for when I want a break from the screen. And then all 3 at once will give me everything I could possibly need.
