  • Glad to see this thread exists!

I was just thinking about how we need a new thread on this.

I had also wanted to echo SNystrom's sentiment from the previous topic - "To terminate this thread during one of potentially the most honest investigations of the past 80 years would be a disservice to the forum and the phenomenal openness that has been shared among us for many, many years now."

    👋

  • Anyone here watch The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch? Travis Taylor is on there he was one of the pentagon UAP investigators and they see UAPs all the time on the show. Yeah it’s got that history channel style production to it but if you’re interested in these topics it’s a must see. Plus they have all sorts of cool gadgets/tech on the show

Has the media in America reported much about the things revealed in Monday's press conference?

I haven’t even read much about that outside of seeing headlines. Is there a good link to an overview of all of that?

Haven’t got a link, but this is the summary I gave to Gavinski in the other thread:

Basically: testimonies from over 750 credible sources (e.g. generals, commanders of nuclear facilities, members of UAP taskforces, whistleblowers etc.) some appearing in public in this video, details of some of the 200+ retrieved craft, comparison between alien craft and man-made replicas, and an explanation of the purpose of their aims: to bring to justice the ‘black ops’ going on behind government, and military knowledge, to present all evidence to congress, and avoid the potential catastrophic consequences these black ops could have.

Woah that sounds huge. I gotta keep an eye on this. Wonder what these black ops are

One document, I do believe that was in the possession of the late, Edgar Mitchell is know as the Wilson document and relates how Admiral Wilson tried unsuccessfully to gain access to an SAP related to crash retrieval, although Wilson denies this.

  • Another report, but still largely not picked up by MSM sources.

Just show me where to line up to see the body / craft / something at least.

Over the years I have met many people who with a completely convincing straight face could regale me with their adventures with holywood/political/historical elite, oh and sasquatch, entirely believing it because they actually do believe it and have experienced it (in a sense). Anyway, there is a segment of the population, about 1 in 280 that have this particular issue/gift. Sampling from a pool of several hundred thousand/million government workers/officials of various stripes and you can get a perfect storm of high functioning mythology makers completely convinced of the validity of their experiences. Mix with humans propensity towards olde school monkey mind hierarchical need for guidance and you get this sort of stuff bubbling up from the subconscious.

But then again I am totally willing to line up to see the body/craft. That would be awesome!

  • Not so-called revelations. They are revelations.

    Quote from article.

‘Yet what made this particular account international news was that the person talking had apparently been in a position to know.’

Not apparently - he was in that position.

As to the validity of this evidence, that’s a matter of investigation and inquiry.

As for reverse engineering, that would depend on what you were trying to engineer and your current capabilities. If it’s way in advance using scientific methods we have little to no understanding yet, that could be very tricky perhaps dangerous. It takes tremendous effort and scientific resources to manufacture nuclear weapons and they’ve been around nearly a century.

No one here is in a position to determine if his claims are actual facts..or if he had access to the information he claims to have had access to...or if his representation of that information is accurate.

I didn’t say they were but if this is some sort of ongoing misinformation campaign or actually in part or fully factual then Congress hasn’t had oversight, so they should be trying to ascertain the facts whatever and wherever they lead.

I was quoting inferences made here and in the article that can be validated, the whistleblower is who he claims to be and he states to his knowledge and to the limitations of his enquiry, the statements he made publicly are truthful and within the remit of what he can state publicly.

You are leaping to his statements being truthful. One can reasonably (some might even say responsibly) call what he calls revelations "so-called revelations " until such time as there is verification of his claims.

I gave up reading after the ‘common sense’ headline: “Are aliens that bad at parking?” Now there’s a great start to a totally unbiased article. I’m guessing they haven’t mentioned last week’s conference either?

just think about it .. glad i will not live long enough to see that dark fate of humanity..

They are revelations, as to whether they are true, false or misinformation that has yet to be determined, but by the use of ‘so-called’ this already casts doubt as to the veracity of his statement, without any evidence either way.

  • Currently watching whitley strieber's communion. I can't believe I've never watched this before.

I believe he stated some of the ‘objects’ were intact, if so I think the whole premise of the article is wrong.

Maybe the scariest part is, it’s true, but they know very little about the ‘visitors’.

That’s one of my favourite films of all time, it’s a weird one, but Christopher Walken is great in it.

Recommend the Whitley Streiber original book too.

Ah I’ll have to check those out.

Whitley Streiber started to lose me a bit with his later books, but Communion is a classic.

I think sometimes there’s the temptation to keep things going, make the stories and events more spectacular.

A bit like crop circles - where some of the early original simple circles are genuinely unexplainable, but turned into a daft money-making circus.

He always possessed imagination being a writer, so over embellishment possibly overcame him.
Just as Hollywood adds sensational elements to the storytelling of UFO stories, the USA Air Force had often advised early SciFi ‘alien’ movies.

Will try the book. Christopher Walken is sensational in this. One of his best "crazy" performances. I've always been a fan.

Any other good UFO movies that anyone can recommend. I'm right in the mood.

If you are up for a double bill, I recommend fire in the sky!

It spoiled me a bit, Communion, everything else just seems too obvious/corny. Fire in the Sky is good, I remember, Area 51 is good for a giggle, and though you’ve most likely seen it, Close Encounters of the Third Kind is the classic. I’ll have a think!

  • Fire in the Sky it is. Could be a triple bill tonight. I've got a few beers to help me along the way :)

  • Oh! There’s the mothman prophecies but I’ve only seen it once and am not a fan of Richard Gere

  • On a different subject. What are folks thoughts on the reported "trumpets in the sky" phenomenon reported from time to time.

Area 51’s worth a go - it starts slow, and is pretty daft, but very entertaining.
