yes, your voice really reminds dave gahan here ..
I decided to create my own version of the song, it's very different from the other two Not sure what genre it would fit in, maybe some kind of dark heavy trip-hop.
I think it's fascinating seeing 3 artists create work that is so different from each other while all using the same starting point. It's what makes creativity so interesting, people's minds work in such different ways.
Also on the off chance anyone else wants to play, here are the stems of the initial project, with the original vocals:

Yeah, this is just amazing ..
I like your version.. Or better call it “Original” where JWM’d and mine are remixes :-))
i have always sense of 60’s psychedelia (which i really like) from your music. Good job.
Thos will be nice EP :-) Would be nice if somebody else also adds his vidion to this, EP with original and 3 remixes would be very cool.
The concept reminds me a bit of the Kruder & Dorfmeister remix of Depeche Mode's Useless, the remix is one of my favourite tracks from the 90s.
And of course, who could forget one of the best remixes of all time, that turned this:
Into this:
Without the remix no-one would ever have heard of the song, the remix is what made the smash hit. Boris Dlugosch saw what the song could become.
It’s pure alter rock from the ’80s, like it’s released by 4AD, imho. Really great song, another jewel on your list. 🤩
Downloaded stems, promise nothing. 🤫
I'll take 4AD, I was obsessed with that label as a teenager
Lisa from DcD and Elizabeth from Cocteau forever shaped my taste in music, abstract language and vibe from those bands, ohh my… 😎
Yes both those bands could create incredible atmospheres. There were some amazing indie labels in the UK at that time (Creation, Rough Trade, Mute etc...) but 4AD really just did put out some of the most unique music.
Lol @jwmmakerofmusic you got your wish. But, tbh, just stop complaining about the lack of interest.
After all, I’m a genius (haha, just kidding) and very few agree, or listen. Posting here is simply the end point of my work flow.. As another member said, savor the attention and praise you do get. I do.
An unexpected collab! I appreciate what being on this forum provides. Sincere, talented and sympathetic feelers and thinkers, Not my genre but I see how it stretched you both. Evolution is everything.
Sounds great! Especially after that initial breakdown/fill. The beats are great and the vocals too. I would buy this on iTunes.
As far as feedback goes, I don't get a lot of feedback on Audiobus, but the little I do is appreciated! I do worry that my music really sucks when it's silent for a while, though, haha. I do notice some people get comments more consistently, and I've been assuming it's either because of friendships/familiarity or talent (probably a little of both).
There are a couple of review threads here too that I think are more consistent in that regard as well. One of them I don't post to much anymore because I don't write lyrics or sing, and it seems more pro.
I've found a couple of places that I go to for guaranteed feedback on Reddit and Discord, though:
https://www.reddit.com/r/IndieMusicFeedback/
https://discord.gg/indiemusicfeedback
and
https://discord.gg/daw
The former has a bot that tracks how much feedback comments you've given and awards you one point for each comment you make on a different post that's no older than 3 days.
The latter has a channel where you must give feedback to the last person who posted, and a bot enforces that to some degree.
All that being said, I do love this forum. The feedback here tends to be top notch when you get it.
I listened to this so much back in the day!
Loved it guys! frenq
Great to hear these collabs!
Indeed. Only a couple critical comments for a first draft between the two is no small feat!
