BeatMaker 2 update 2.5.5 is in cue waiting for Apples approval. Fixes issues with Audiobus and brings iOS 8 compatibility.
isn't bm3 in works?
bm2 is like a pc and impc pro is like a mac when it comes to workflow. I think retronyms raised the bar so high that it changed the game culturally. I don't know if intua is even really in the zone they seem to like to have things complicated… try to move samples around in bm2 vs impc, or try sampling something from each apps iTunes player and go from that first step to the end step of chopping that sample up, placing it on the pads, and sequencing it…… there is simply no, nada, nyet comparison…
now bm2 has features that impc doesn't have, thing is that impc has features that bm2 doesn't have that are much cooler features by a super long stretch, and retronyms have even turned the 'workflow' of impc into a freakin feature in itself
it's just the nature of drum samplers and groove boxes that the workflow is king, I had bm2 long before the impc and all I could think of is damn why is this so convoluted but it was the best option and people who are into sampling will take anything they can get and just march on.
unless you're sequencing other synths or you're only comfortable with linear patterns what else in bm2 makes it worth using over the impc? they are going to have to change the way they think if they want to compete with bm3, in my opinion its a really exciting time to see what intua is going to come up with.
Everybody's got toast.
And a cup of tea
as long as they know how to cook...
Cook up some grooves ios man and stop whining!
tears of anticipation my friend I'm thinking intua has to take things to another level, we could be in for something really special.
what if they completely flip the script and bring us something that looks like the impc pro and Samplr had a baby, woot woot! heck intua might be the ones to actually bring us realtime time stretching in a beatmachine can you imagine….there are definitely some great places still left that they could take us.
Sector can time stretch real time now
that's a little different to what I mean.
I'm talking about the beatmachine form factor plus ableton live type realtime stretching and warping on iOS in an mpc style sequencer
