  • And if IR based, which specific plate(s) does it emulate?

  • I watched (er..listened to) Doug's recent video on plateVerb. He gave it a good once-over demonstration and after all these years of doing those can still maintain or feign a level of enthusiasm that is admirable. His enthusiasm has opened my wallet in the past, but not to spring the .99 for this one. Between EOS 2, Bleass Reverb, Pro-R, and the many fine plate reverbs I have on my desktop, don't think this adds anything to my reverb kit that I can't do without.

Sounds good but some of the dials are very unstable, it's like placing a ball on top of another ball. Hopefully it get fixed.

Yes.... The filter knobs maybe need some kind of curve controls or something

Try the latest version, there are major improvements to the UI and DSP.

What’s the tap to load, is that for loading the presets? And ‘if’ this is IR based(?), are there different type of plates to choose from, apart from the settings?

    Hi
The "tap to load" feature likely refers to a convenient method of loading presets with just a tap. If the system is IR based (Infrared), it opens up the possibility of selecting from various types of plates, offering more versatility beyond the standard settings

It doesn't have any choice of different IRs etc so it's definitely not that. As others have mentioned, it's not even clear from the documentation whether it is IR-based or not.

They're a mix of both algorithmic and convolution. The algorithms are based off of some famous techniques, but altered for a unique sound. There's descriptions of each on the product pages, but I'll work on some more specifics for the user manual.
